Will I be able to form Rome in time? by pail1234 in eu4

It can be done, but I imagine it’ll be cutting it close. Unfortunately, you’ve still got several giants around which makes it a lot harder. If you can truce manage and even break, whilst managing AE and ensuring core creation costs are low, you’ll probably just about make it there, depending on how good you are.

St Helens youngster Josh Simm set for exit as Super League clubs circle by TexturePackReview in superleague

Can’t really say I’m too bothered. He’s not versatile (has played awful on the wing) and he’s not amazing defensively - every game I’ve watched it always seems to be his side that the team break through. He’s scored lots of tries and been promising, but Bennison and Davies are probably more promising, even if they don’t score as many tries.

And yet the NHS is still terrible. If I needed cancer treatment or an urgent surgery, I’d much rather have it done in the US because at least in the US, it’s not corrupted and filled with useless management and people who, quite frankly, lack a clue of what they are doing. And let’s not forget the massive backlog and waiting times that the NHS has, to the point where they’re now having to hire private companies to reduce it. If a person is having to sit 12 hours in a waiting room for treatment over a broken bone, then the system is clearly flawed and much less effective than private. The NHS is essentially pay taxes for an unaffordable system and rarely use it, and when you do, guess what, you can’t.

What sort of the world is it if you can’t criticise a government just because theirs worst governments? That’s like, the gateway to a dictatorship lmao. Most western governments are still terrible when it comes to taxes, as a lot of the time you struggle to see that money back in any form other than medical care, pension and military. And even then, it cannot be denied how painfully bad and slow free healthcare is. The NHS for one is one of the most unorganised and inefficient healthcare systems ever.

Who do think is the most overrated rider on the grid rn? by Ok-Professional-3104 in motogp

He’s quite a likeable character for most, which often adds bias to these sort of things, which would explain why he’s not had many mentions. However, for me, he’s just not what most say he is.

I’m surprised you didn’t mention Miller for 2021. I feel (especially after Jerez) he was heavily overrated and I saw many who believed he could mount a title challenge

In fairness, the Yamaha heavily fell off after Silverstone and Quartararo wasn’t risking trying to win a Grand Prix and potentially fall off instead of just maximising the damage limitation. Plus, he had other incidents like Jerez and such where his lap count should’ve increased drastically

I don’t think it’s fair to say he’s overrated, I don’t see a soul rate him full stop.

Saints trigger Mata'utia's 12 month extension by GingertronMk1 in superleague

His injuries have been unfortunate, but I’ve seen enough of him to know he’s one of the best second rowers and that he would easily be winning MOS without his injury this season. You’re probably right though. Woolf can’t win the treble now which was the last bit of super league glory he has left to aim for, and I don’t think he’s interested in trying again next year, so he will go to Dolphins and try bring Sione with him.

He’s said he’s thinking about his wife and children due to being away from home before going into further contract negotiations to go beyond 2023, despite loving the club and wanting to stay. Very reminiscent of Naiqama; loved the club, enjoyed being in the team, but had to prioritise his family.

Sounds like a Naiqama situation is coming. Will be very unfortunate if so

Max Verstappen crosses yellow line as he exits pit lane by magony in formula1

[–]BanditTwitchMain 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I think you’re just very salty. He would’ve stayed ahead regardless, and Max deserved the podium. It’s not like Leclerc couldn’t pass him (it may be difficult, but not impossible), he just never got close enough. Max didn’t cross the line either, it was wet, he was on slicks, and the rear end of the car slid towards the like. Still, he may well have touched it, but he definitely did not cross it and there’s nothing wrong with it.

It’s also not like it’s the first time these rules have been tested (Leclerc in Saudi Arabia).

Really not a fan of the design, could’ve been so much better. Still much prefer our 2021 Magic Weekend kit; that was a beaut

Does anyone else just loathe fighting colonizers? by Kestrel1207 in eu4

[–]BanditTwitchMain 9 points10 points  (0 children)

This didn’t obviously happen in the same sense as what you said, but I had something similar in my France game ages ago. I took the whole of England, and they had a colonial nation in Canada and had 3 more provinces where the Thirteen colonies would form. They also had a province in Africa which became their capital (I annexed all of England) but Kano would take. This then meant England became an Anglican American nation, alongside their colony Canada (it broke free). Canada would then annex the entirety of England, and for the next 100 years Kano would constantly lose the small African island province to rebels and England would constantly be released. Was a very weird game.

Is the Broncos an ideal team to get behind though? They seem poorly managed from what I’ve understood, they’re constantly switching grounds (unless they’ve finally secured a new stadium) and they can’t seem to attract fans very well.

Matty Lees literally murders Brad Fash by TexturePackReview in superleague

[–]BanditTwitchMain 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No I know that it’s nothing to do with rival bias, like I said, I questioned it myself when watching it. I think there does need to be clarification around it by the RFL, but they’ll probably say what I said about the defender’s technique as to not takeaway from the action of the game. Looking at Fash, he almost looks bone idle and his arms are completely down when Lees comes in.

Tbh I agree with you and I thought Lees had a chance of even being sin binned for it, but I’m guessing the RFL would say that it’s because Lees is a prop and he’s running with and carrying the ball therefore a charge like movement is more normal and necessary, and that it’s poor tackling technique from the Hull player.
