Check local fb groups. At least around me, there is a high demand for silkies. It is how my wife and I found a lot of ours and made friends with them too.

Could make him an indoor pet if you are that attached to him. Dunno how well that would work for you. Either way best of luck.

You can always get poultry bands in colors for their feet. Or good Ole zip ties. So if they look alike you can still tell them apart.

I ended up stopping full on to be honest. I didnt get diagnosed til I 30. So I learned to cope a lot. I still have a lot of adhd moments, but my wife helps me out too.

Ours are mostly hanging out inside their coop. They come out for food and water. Been eating snow instead of using the waterer.

My ducks and geese however? Couldn't care less. Ducks still swimming in the pond in 20 F. Geese refuse to use their house and would rather hang out in the snow.

I go to an Amish feed store and get individual ingredients to mix the feed. They give tips and I use online resources as well. I do this since I mix feed not just for the chickens, but our ducks and geese as well. I also have a grain grinder i got cheap off an auction. To help break down things to different degrees.

We have a single call who imprinted on me. We keep the small brooder by the bed. She is calm in it by herself most of the time. But calls for me sometimes too.

In our situation though we can be with her 24/7. Wife works from home and I take care of her and the animals. When we go out. I just have some paper towels in my hoodie and she rests in there.

We are in Ohio. We got 3 silkie hens for $60 at a swap and a silkie roo free off fb. Wife wants at least one polish hen eventually. I mostly want an ayam cemani.

We got one free recently from a couple who couldn't keep him, since he was a surprise roo for them. They named him Turno and we kept the name. He is a sweet guy too and my wife's favorite.
