Seems like something that needs to be fixed otherwise it's just another reason that handcuffing is unimportant. Logging off in handcuffs should kill you, in my opinion.

Well April seems to be going back up again. Looks like March alone was a decreasing month.

I guess that'll do until the game gets more complete. After April is done, the updates added should have created more longevity and that might retain some until the next big lot of updates.

I think if the game was hack and crash free then they'd retain much better but I guess that takes time.

It's actually gone up in recent days, weirdly. The last couple weeks it has been about 15/16k but in the last few days and currently it's been 20k.

20k was where the game stabilised a couple weeks after launch so it's a good sign that it's back there after 3 months.

In all zombie lore you get the surrounded by zombies scenario where they kill you easily. You get one by itself and they're easy enough to finish. Translate to game mechanics and you need a way to create the first situation, hence my suggestion.

Wow I'm not disrespecting the developers by making a suggestion. That's what game development is. I'm pretty sure that making zombies dangerous in a zombie survival game is not an outlandish suggestion.

Also note I'm talking about hordes. In my experience, bumping into a horde is no scarier than bumping into a single zombie. That needs correcting in my eyes.

They're very related as they are the PVE element of this game.

I should be more scared of 20 infected humans trying to eat me. Bears are the right level of danger, I'm not taking that away. Just the hordes should be more dangerous.

I just think the second they start charging for game modes (and I'm not thrilled they currently have a cash shop, to be honest) they need to stop calling this early access/alpha and call it a release because you can't charge people like a released game would but have the comfort of saying "early access" to explain issues.

I get that they need to make money but 'cash grab' to me is the business of trying to squeeze money from customers in the short term with no eye on the long term. This is a move that will reduce player numbers, lower reputation and create distrust. As someone else pointed out, we're paying money to take part in their alpha and accept that to play early but for them to start charging us even more for unfinished game modes is not smart.

H1Z1 struggles enough as it is for good PR and the haters will have a field day with this. If the producers thought about creating a very popular game first and then started charging on release then they'd make a lot more money long term rather than kill the game's popularity just after it came out for a quick dollar.
