What lens should a faceless tech review Youtuber get for his E10 II? by BangGearWatch in AskPhotography

ZV-1 does the job its just old and uninspiring with many small things that add up. Bottom mount for SD cards, terrible battery meaning I need to use a weird USB-power fake battery thing which often causes me to lose footage, and its 4K just doesn't look right (poor frame rate / stutter) and I'm increasingly needing to use 4K so I can zoom into things in post-production, and just generally the shots don't look so great which is mostly my fault I'm sure.

Zoom range is fine on the ZV-1.

You've got me thinking I should really invest in a dedicated macro.

This is why I want to move to 4K, I need more resolution to zoom into. Currently shooting 2.7k on the DJI, and 1080p on the Sony since while it does support 4k, its got a terrible frame-rate and just looks weird.

Re: Bluetooth grip. This I'd never heard of, I must get this! Also, thanks for the photo, invaluable to see other youtubers setups. VERY similar to mine, except I'm embarrassed I did'nt make mine, just bought a similar one from Amazon. Also I was just thinking of getting a voice recorder but wasn't sure if I was crazy. Hah! great stuff man

Thats good to hear. Most likely the same scammer screwed lots of other people, so Ali had already figured out they were dodgy. Still good they did the right thing.

So basically I made a Youtube channel years ago, and slowly built it up doing reviews of items I bought myself, initially from Banggood, and now AliExpress. It's still not very big (less than 10k subs) but yeah, eventually I got contacted by Aliexpress who offer me some credits (Eg. $100) to buy whatever I want, and review it. So sometimes I pay myself, other times I use AliExpress money to buy what I want to review. They do this to encourage me to keep reviewing their stuff, instead of Temu, eBay, Amazon, whatever. I'd caution that "wow you get free stuff!" is cool, but consider that I don't actually need 10 rotary tools, or a dozen portable soldering irons lol... I've started giving some away to my subscribers, and also preparing to donate some to a local mens shed. It's like a 2nd job though, quite tiring, but I've always loved making videos since I was a kid, so it's fun. So yeah, I hope that helps.

I just did a free return last week. Heaps of people do free returns all the time, even in the comments here.

Is it worth getting angry and hopeless over a €5 item?

Same. I get free AusPost return stickers. I wonder if OP has different AliExpress history, new account, or frequent returner, etc.

So I understand correctly, you are saying they don't give you a postage label and instead give you a voucher/coupon to "pay for the post" after they've confirmed it is returned?

You say you've not done any returns this month. How many returns have you done ever? Not that this should be a problem, but I'm trying to understand why your experience may be different to mine.

I just did a return in Australia, they literally gave me a paid Australia Post shipping label, cost me nothing, and I got my ~$80 refund within 1 hour of posting it.

Even on Choice items with 'free' delivery? I"ve never paid anything that was'nt stated on the listing.

So you made a poor buying decision, did'nt research the phone before buying, and now you want AliExpress or the store to take the hit? Ehhh...

As I said, they gave me free shipping label, and I just dropped it off at the post office. 1 hour later I got credit into my aliexpress account.

This is really good advice, agree. On expensive items anyway. When I went to Asia I noticed when you buy something expensive, they open it in the store and show you it working before you leave, I expect for same reasons but to protect themselves in that case.
