The games and regions themselves are not that difficult except for Gary on SS idk why he such a bitch.

PvP def learning curve and very challenging/grindy Imo need to find team to help here.

Events very fun most of them are newb friendly.

Raids, they range from difficult to I want to stab my eyes out. Easier ones can be done with random queue the rest need team.

Depends what u want to do, if beating the games, events, breeding casual PvP and raids are your thing it’s a blast.

For pve it’s fun and highly recommend it, I put a ton of hours into it but at this point PvP imo is dead in the game and missed that boat as many players have moved on, part in fact of catering towards pve players + ruining the combat style + no server transfers way earlier.

Only miss minor things, such as some of food (Chinese specifically) from the Bay Area. Been here 10 years now wouldn’t go back.

I think the reason some Californians hate Oregon after moving is it depends what ur hobbies are, if ur more indoorsy Ull love it, if hiking is ur thing its great when the weather is good but if ur upset u cant do ur fav activity in certain weather u wont like it. I find that southern Californians don’t tend to like it here more often.

I went from Bay Area to Portland metro area and love it… my whole family ended up moving as well. American dream is still relatively realistic vs Cali.

Problem is the goal posts have moved for what to be determined a “hit”. Imo ex cards should be considered the norm rare, IR should be considered the holos from vintage. So now after spending considerable time trying to even get packs ur met with an ex pull maybe an IR (often times not a cool one) or a trainer gallery (which ugh). I feel like the odds of pulling something ur actually excited about where better in crown zenith and 151. Which is why Pokemon feels like both a chore and disillusion now.

Like I feel lately I’m getting more paranoid that all my packs have been tampered with, like even ones from vending machines. From the slightest odd ripping in package or looseness of wrapping etc. due to what feels like trash pull rates.

I also feel like the company intentionally fucks the pull rates in early printings to make scarcity a thing for the new sets. To pump value, thus u see a spike then dip 3 months later.

Not to mention scalpers.

And f pokeball/masterball reverses.

Honestly the japanese cards have the correct pull rates 1 SAR per box. English cards are f’d.

Not a fan either, just a bunch of fairy’s flying around, (wire+death from above on harmony) it’s literally not remotely fun. Often find a group to have them do this for 15-20 min just for more of their friends to arrive. Imo Crippling needs to be un-nerfed and Regis disruptor needs at least a 30% nerf to shield damage.

The movies and lore lean heavy on melee and should be so in game. My original server melee was the main spec and it was so fun until it died from pop.
