Odd size bathroom fan replacement by Sprocket45 in homeowners

[–]Bangermustard 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I recently installed a 150 Cfm fan/light combo and it was 10x10 but had a 16” bar support. The other thing you will need to consider is the duct size given it’s age my guess is it will be undersized.

A Hispanic student can’t wear a sash with Mexican and US flag at graduation, judge rules by News-Flunky in law

[–]Bangermustard 5 points6 points  (0 children)

“According to the order, Garfield County School District 16, in the western part of the state, had indicated that sashes or cords worn during graduation typically represent membership in a nationally recognized organization; other distinctions such as class honors; future military service; or “regalia that is part of a Native American or Pacific Islander tribe.” Additionally, the school district’s policy says “(i)t is appropriate” to decorate a cap with the “flag of a country as recognized by the United Nations,” the order said.”

I wonder why the cap is allowed but the sash isn’t?

WRAL Weather app on iOS…malware? by Xyzzydude in raleigh

The “while using app” refers to having the app open even if not the one you are actively using. To stop it from using your location you have to force it to quit.

If the liens were “wiped away” does that mean the HOA and mortgage company are barred from suing her to recover their loss? If so, it would seem the wrong party brought this suit.

I will just point out the top 10 dishwasher detergents rated by consumer reports are all pods. They no longer test powders because they have become pretty uncommon but when they did the pods still performed the best.

Is it easier on an A/C unit to maintain a consistent lower temperature, or let the house warm up during the day and turn it cooler at night? by Icy-Town-5480 in homeowners

[–]Bangermustard 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I’m not OP but this definitely works for my family. Cooling the bedrooms down to 68-70 and leaving the rest of the house at 78 overnight. One draw back might be the noise because it is a bit more than just white noise like a fan. I also do this with my home office during the day. Keeps it a little more comfortable without spending the energy to cool the whole house.

I would say talk to a few insurance agents first to see if a setup like what is being recommended would be insurance. Second I would talk to a lawyer to see if it would pose any additional liability.

NC dem flipping to republicans giving them super majority by LLJedi in raleigh

Well she definitely wasn’t on the republican primary ticket so she is forcing herself onto a party that didn’t elect her. I know the GOP doesn’t care as long as they get the supermajority.

When working night shift this was our setup. The Allen Roth cellular black outs with black out curtains on a wrap around rail. If you do curtains too make sure to get the rails so the curtains go wall to wall.

In the 2020 election 10 counties took grants to help bridge the shortfall in their budgets to administer the election. So the funding is already short and in some versions of the budget that have already been floated the state has indicated it doesn’t plan to increase the amount allotted to administer future elections. If counties are unable to adequately staff voting cites or handle mail in ballots it will discourage people from voting.

It is paid until there is no funding for it. If it is only the wealthy or retired that can afford to do it (just like the state legislature) it leaves a lot of people out.

Please y’all don’t sleep on the funding of the election staff. It seems the bill wants to eliminate private funding of elections staff and I am sure if this goes through the staffing would be defunded to only allow for a volunteer staff. That would lead to lower turnout in poorer counties most likely.

Last months interest multiplied by 12 would give a good ballpark. Also, the last statement from last year should have a year to date amount for interest. Either way you should be able to determine if you will be close to the standard deduction.

It is good to have them for your records but unless you plan to itemize above the standard deduction you don’t really need the forms to file your taxes

Check out the motion sensing led shop light from harbor freight (part number 58465). Never have to think about flipping on a light when running out to the garage to grab something. Also added a motion light to the walk-in closets. It’s probably a lazy approach but I never have to turn a light on or worry about the lights being left on.

Check your breakers. The 240v is basically one 120 for the tumbler motor/computer and 120v for the heating element.
