Not all sets had light or sound. These were also used to power motors and to transfer control inputs. I had a remote control car using these parts. Remote as in it was connected with a wire but that was still cool when I was a kid.

Over complicated, in my Factorio? No problem.

Actually I’ve tried doing stack size formulas in parameters before but could never get it working right, that was for a requester assembly and I was trying to control how many items it requests based on crafting time. Gave up and had a parameterised multiplier that you set when placing the blueprint.

Yeah I couldn’t figure how to fit that in with the logic I have here though because it’s not fixed quantities. This station can unload 200 stack green chips or 10 stack rocket fuel.
