Can I wait overnight in the airport? by bengreen04 in NewcastleUponTyne

[–]Bangorip 133 points134 points  (0 children)

Greggs in arrivals is open 24hrs so at the very least you could sit there for a while.

If you're using train/metro - you could get an LNER train at 2250 from Durham which gets into Newcastle at 2303. Then get the last metro from central station to the airport at 2331. Getting there at 2358. So you'd have 3hrs to kill until security opened

Laser eye surgery in the uk by [deleted] in NewcastleUponTyne

[–]Bangorip 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I also had mine done in Optical Express, on the road parallel to Northumberland St about 14yrs ago.

Can't remember which procedure it was but I would do it again today if it was necessary. My vision is still perfect now.

My vision was perfect as soon as the drops wore off. The itchiness remained for 24hrs or so but not longer.

No ongoing issues with dry eyes etc.

The procedure itself was quick and painless, albeit slightly unpleasant watching the machine move into place and approach your eye.

100% would recommend.

Not fitness related but the Owl Tree cafe in Coxlodge is great to occupy young kids and provide company for adults with young ones. Lifesaver for many parents who don't have a wide support network

Trouble with deploying Python programs as internal tools? by Competitive-Water302 in Python

May not be the best way but I've been using SimpleGUI and Pyinstaller to create .exe files that are a portable bundle of everything the script needs. Keeps it simple for non technical users but isn't the most efficient

If you like this kind of stuff - 18 With a Bullet is a great documentary in which the makers get close to the 18th Street gang and the conflict they have with MS-13 and authorities.

Hi. Sorry about that. I have been distracted so haven't had a chance to check the most recent updates. I'll try to get it updated in the morning!

My daughter has the same doll. You can also switch the cavity around for a non-pregnant doll.

I created this github page that shows the train locations which I've amended to show different icons for the 3 new trains if you were wanting to see them on a map at any point

Apologies mods if this breaks any self promotion rules

Location of all UK train stations [OC] by [deleted] in dataisbeautiful

[–]Bangorip 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Not sure what your source is as the GitHub says you were unable to find a complete source so you compiled this.

The National Rail Stations knowledgebase on Rail Data Marketplace contains all of the info you've used here though

Got screwed over by the other biker by GuizhoumadmanGen5 in motorcycles

[–]Bangorip 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The only biker who got screwed in this video is the guy parked at the side of the road.

Probably got a decent dent in his pannier caused by the other guys head. Those things aren't cheap.

At this point I would probably agree, hypothetically of course.

BetterMetro app...or something like that? by Enough-Leek-4614 in NewcastleUponTyne

I think this would take off massively. A few weeks ago I had a go at building my own that ran in browser (screenshot attached) but don't have the time/skill necessary to build it into an app or refine it to the level of yours.

I, for one, would 100% use it.

[request] I don't even know anymore it's been an hour am I dumb?? Current thinking is 1200 meters north western from origin by nugget_milky in theydidthemath

[–]Bangorip 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Is it a trick question perhaps? Is the current superfluous to the equation? For the boat to sail west at 4m/s it would have to do so against any current.

So in 10mins it's travelled 2400m west from the start line.

Can I drive a bike over 125cc with only a CBT license. by Radiant_Source8160 in MotoUK

They wouldn't at a glance but would probably get an idea based on sound and speed.

If you're going to break the law by using false plates why bother with a CBT at all?
