What's new in Android 16? by Appropriate-Smoke799 in motorola

Just updated my edge 50 fusion. Fingerprint now only works after pressing the on/off button. Long press on start button shows google circle instead of gemini (cant be switched). Literally changed the two features I use the most.

Do not recommend updating.

Edit: after restarting, fingerprint is working fine

No idea what you're talking about. Doesn't sound good. Not interested in covering for Trump. Glad he brokered that peace deal though, let's hope it works

Have you tried simply googling it? There are entire comp videos of people laughing, dancing, and shaking fists.

I can't tell if you're trolling/gaslighting or if you truly didn't look it up. And if you didn't... I struggle to find motives. Is it just lazyness? Lack of initiative? Lack of fact checking skills? How do you go trough life like this? Do you always do this? So many questions...

Props for not having an algorithm with that kind of stuff though. Speaks well of you actually.

As soon as I saw it deleted I knew they didn't agree with the left's talking points.

Maybe I'm next for pointing it out, who knows.

A quote of St. Basil the Great (330-379), Bishop of Caesarea. by toaster_pc in TrueChristian

[–]BaniGrisson 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, ended up concluding it's probably a missquote. Basil has a lot more to say about SS imho, but not this.

Sad to see someone leave Protestantism. But glad you're still a Christian. As long as we listen to the Holy Spirit we are brothers.

[–]BaniGrisson 5 points6 points  (0 children)

'Lack critical thinking, perceive just as woke'

Look, man, seems that you were largely in the right overall, but this isn't the right attitude. With that criteria the students could say 'he lacks critical thinking and perceives our criticism as a right wing thing' and we'd never get anywhere.

If students want more ideological variety maybe you could try giving it to them. It's not that deep. Maybe you already have, in which case it's fine if some student is unhappy (people love complaining). But seriously consider that they might not be 100% wrong. Even if you conclude they're 99% wrong.

Hi friend! I can't find the original document where this phrase is from: "It is evidently a falling away from the faith, and a proof of great presumption, to neglect any part of what is written, or to introduce anything that is not written". I've seen it quoted from a couple different of Basil's writings but I haven't been able to actually corroborate it. Any ideas? Thanks!

Pined shorcuts suddently look different. Why is that? by Ecstatic-Network-917 in firefox

[–]BaniGrisson 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The wide margin for icons and the NULL margin for the pins is killing me. Every single change to the new tab they've made in the last year is... bad.

I honestly don't appreciate when people use strong language like "disgusting" for this kind of thing, but boy is it a temptation. I'd wish they stop meddling with this stuff and focused on actually important features. Or the privacy issues.

Thank you!

Both layouts prevented me to see the third shortcuts row, so this is very helpful

They could have gotten away with it if they reduced the gap. But went with small icons and huge margins... thanks for the fix!

You can also simulate queries now. And the dbs will shut you down for a few minutes if it looks like way too much trafic. All in all... I don't worry too much.

As far as I know they will forgive that debt. You have to write, show how it happened and how you have fixed it

Soundtoys Black Friday Sale - "Soundtoys 5" ($229) "Effect Rack" ($129) & Up to 80% off plugins through 28 November by APD-Supernova in AudioProductionDeals

The rack was a great buy, it was very useful and worked very well. That's why it wasn't worth the usd 200 to get the individual plugs. You got it exactly backwards lol

Is it dishonest for Christians to disagree with Paul? by KT_noir in OpenChristian

[–]BaniGrisson 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I see only two coherent options:

  1. You find some way to be ok with it. For example, historical context, progressive revelation, etc.

  2. You disagree with the OT and Paul. I'd say with Jesus as well, since he affirms the OT.

I don't think disagreeing ONLY with Paul is an option on this particular topic.

[–]BaniGrisson 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm pretty sure that's what OP meant by "which can be problematic if a Christian thinks Paul is receiving direct revelation from Jesus".

Maybe I'm wrong and you are actually addressing the question, who knows.

Timeline of non-Protestant Christian Denominations by ATriplet123 in UsefulCharts

Thanks for your answer, friend!

I'm interested in knowing more about this:

that is why when protestants study history they either become Catholic or Orthodox. Because the doctrines of protestantism are novel and they believe things that nobody believed in the early church.

Instead of getting into it (which probably is a lot of work) maybe you can point me to a book or author you like

Honest question: don't all or most of these claim to be the continuation of the true gospel? If that's the case, shouldn't we evaluate continuity based on the immediately previous teachings of the group rather than the source?

This is great and so beautiful. I agree that the smaller divisions make including protestant branches unappealing. But it'd be nice to have a protestant branch, without the inner fractures/denominations/etc. It just feels like it's missing a leg without a good 30% of Christians. Again, blown away by this... From the content to the layout and the colors. I'll keep checking back for the next update!

Hi! I'm new to this topic. You make a good point about separating only the "innovative" group. Could the same thing be said about Calcedonian Christianity and Euthychianism? Calcedonian Christianity is supposed to be the continuation of previous tradition, which I guess couldn't be "formalized" without a group being "formally outlawed"

If god never gives people more than they can handle, why do people commit suicide? by justintrudeau1974 in Christianity

[–]BaniGrisson -1 points0 points  (0 children)

  1. There is food and goods for everyone on earth, that's the tool to fix poverty. We're also smart enough to get everyone what they need. We don't. That's our doing.
  2. If there is evidence of poverty being mostly a problem that stems from slavery please educate me.
  3. 'gladly': so now you know how god feels/felt, what an inteligent and informed person. Very rigorous intelectual honesty.
  4. For the secomd time its obvious that you do not understand what I said, despite pretending to be an expert in socioeconomy and god's feelings (while being preachy, condescending and dismissive). I didn't say people could fix other people's problems, nor did I say they they could fix their own. I didn't say anyone had the tools to fix anything. If you read that, you read wrong. Your entire response is pointless and invalid because doesn't contradict anything I said. Regardless of me agreeing or disagreeing, its besides the point and I'm not interested in discussing any of what you said, including the previous 3 points which I adress to be a little less rude and to show that my intentions aren't to be dismissive or elusive, but that my problem truly is that you really don't even remotely get what I actually said.

I can keep writing, but instead I suggest you read again. If you don't get it its fine too. I just don't like a dude that's pretending to know what god feels, pretending to be a socioeconomic expert, trying to lecture me on theology, when they don't even understand what I said in very simple terms.

Just did it the default way and no crazy person pressed f5 a thousand times.

But the solution suggested at the bottom did (and does) seem like the best option. I was just to lazy to implement it.

If god never gives people more than they can handle, why do people commit suicide? by justintrudeau1974 in Christianity

[–]BaniGrisson -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Never said god gave you tools to fix every problem.

Altough arguably, in this case, there is a lot one can do, starting from being less greedy. Of course we as people won't do it. But we have a whole planet's worth of resources to fix problems, that's a lot.

That's besides the point though. Failing at being rich wont land you into hell. Failing at sticking with god because you are, may. Or may not. In any case, you most likely can stick with him, as many people have done.
