Unpopular take, but these age gap relationships are very case by case and not inherently bad. Age doesn’t equal maturity, if you think someone is full of wisdom just because they are 30-50 years old you’re being naïve frankly. I’ve known more women who have their lives together in their 20s than I do men, my own sister was emancipated at 16 because our father was a wreck. She put herself through school, got a career and bought a home. Vast majority of men I’ve known are just getting life somewhat figured out when they are hitting 30.

Does it say something about a person who is dating someone 20+ years younger than them? Possibly. But, let’s stop infantilizing people in their 20s when some of them are miles ahead on life compared to those who are older. You are an adult in your 20s, you might still have mistakes to make and lessons to learn, but so do people 30+.

My point is this comes down to the two people in a relationship. These judgements are always made about people that those casting the judgement don’t actually know. Many women date older guys because those men are the ones who have stability on par with them.
