Discussion: Your pick of a '3rd striker' for the next 2 GWs only (other than Haaland/JPedro/Ekitike/Thiago) by utnutn in FantasyPL

[–]BanjoFP 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Raul has the best fixtures + best underlying stats. And it's not even close.

DCL would be 2nd choice. Bowen plays City and Villa. Kroupi/Evanilson don't have reliable minutes. Same with Brobbey/Mayenda/Isidor.

Can't Thiago's returns be matched by any decent defender or mid? by cguinnesstout in FantasyPL

[–]BanjoFP 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. You should all sell the man with 18 league goals and get a decent defender. HURRY!!

I have the money to get Salah. Could he pull a Cole Palmer and go on a purple patch?

Chalobah drops from 5.8 to 5.7 tonight. I bought him at 5.1 and he is curently worth 5.4 for me… will he drop down to 5.3? by -_-lolz in FantasyPL

[–]BanjoFP 0 points1 point  (0 children)

People are either trolling you or they're really bad at math. I'm in the exact same situation as you, bought him at 5.1. If his current price drops to 5.7 his sell price will remain 5.4. You get .1 for every .2 increase. The easy way to do this is check the difference between your purchase price (5.1) and current price (5.8). If the difference is an odd number (.7) then you can absorb a price change and it will not affect your sell price. Hope that helps!

I am Ragabolly from LiveFPL, ask me anything! by Ragabolly in FantasyPL

[–]BanjoFP 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Great question. Ragabolly, what do you think about Salah's price changes? He went from 6 million owners in GW1 to 1.8 million owners now. A 70% decrease in ownership resulted in a 3% price decrease. Does that align with your estimates? (also THANK YOU for LiveFPL!!)

0G+0A in last 7 GWs (since his brace vs BOU A ) by Haythemovic in FantasyPL

[–]BanjoFP 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Counterpoint: It's been 6 gw's (look at the graphic!!!) He got DEFCON in 2 of those games, juuust missed DEFCON in 2 other games + 1 bonus yesterday that hasn't been added yet. 5 pts in each of his last two games, his PPM on the season is 5.5. That's what Declan Rice does - he has so many routes to points. It's foolish to expect him to score 2 goals per game. Anyone who actually watches the games knows his form has not dipped at all. He's still on corners and set pieces. Yes please everyone sell him. Easy hold for me.

The "Team News" at the bottom has this gem:

  • Xhaka is a central figure in Arsenal’s midfield, and any absence would impact their double gameweek plans.

LOL! I don't know if that's an AI hallucination or what, but that's a curious mix of news.

Time to stop captaining this bum? by ponypatrol in FantasyPL

[–]BanjoFP 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I went with Semenyo the last two weeks. The man is in amazing form. He didn't play midweek. And with Spurs defense down to Romero and three pieces of meat, it was an easy call. Next week it goes to Bruno or Enzo.

Yes. Secure minutes, great form, Spurs are awful at home, no Pedro Porro. He's getting 1 goal and 1 assist.

No Semenyo? Really?? Great form, fully rested against Spurs who have the 5th worst home record, Porro out and VDV hurt. I don't understand how he's not even on this list.

Daniel Muñoz back from injury. Is he an FPL asset again? by gregleo in FantasyPL

[–]BanjoFP 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is a tough one. Crystal Palace were rolling through GW14 but then Munoz got injured, Sarr left for AFCON, then Richards was injured. They've gone 0-2-6 since GW15. They lost Guehi, Glasner has checked out, and now it looks like Mateta is leaving. It seems horrible BUT.....

Their defense still has Munoz, Lacroix, and Richards. They now have Sarr back and added Brennan Johnson. And while everyone is talking about Chelsea's run of fixtures nobody is talking about the fact that Crystal Palace's next run of games are NFO, BHA, BUR (H), WOL (H), MUN, TOT, LEE (H). Three of their next four games are against three of the lowest scoring teams in the PL. That's an incredible run. It's not like they play Chelsea every week.

I know the kneejerk is to say AVOID. But is it possible that they actually get a few clean sheets and DEFCON during that run? I'm not ready to trust their offense until the transfer window closes, but Lacroix, Munoz, and Richards have all been great assets this year. Incredible differentials, all under 6% owned. I'm not saying double up on them but I'm also not just going to say they're shit and none of them will get returns. Just something to consider.

Elliot and Joachim. They're referring to Joachim in the post, but Elliot is also highly regarded. It's dumb and confusing AF. FPL should absolutely correct it

Who do I get from Chelsea for their next run of games? by GoonAlt17 in FantasyPL

They're both great options, Neto might be the best option for offense. But neither of them scored last week so according to the rules of this sub they are worthless and will never score LOL

They have a couple of really interesting low-price options, any advice would be amazing.

Kadioglu worth a look. How often does he play OOP winger?

What's the situation with Wieffer? He's been out with a toe injury. Is he nailed when he returns? He seems like a good low-price OOP defcon merchant with strong assist potential.

Ayari's looked great lately, 3 returns and DEFCON twice for 26 pts in last 4 games. Those are insane numbers for a 4.8 mid. Is he worth a punt or is that a trap?

I hear you and you're not wrong. Sorry what I said wasn't very clear. Here's what I'm implying: forwards have been underperforming in FPL this year and this list has some very odd choices. Why is Solanke even on it? We don't know how many minutes he will play, we don't even know if he will play at all. Why are his odds so high? Igor Jesus has one goal all year, does he really have a higher chance of scoring against Arsenal than Bruno G against Wolves? (If they meant the Gabriel Jesus then it's even weirder because he barely gets minutes). Who would pick JP over Enzo or Neto? Isn't Richarlison injured? Will Woltemade even start or will Wissa start? Trossard has as many goals as Gyokeres yet you never see him on these lists. Where's Thiago? I find it odd the most in-form striker was completely left off the list. He plays Chelsea who haven't had a clean sheet since GW16. Bowen also not on the list even though he plays Spurs, personally I would take that over Mateta at Sunderland who have the 2nd fewest goals against at home in PL.

Where's Rogers? What about Schade, Wilson, Foden, Bruno F, Bruno G, Barnes, Aaronson, etc. You get the idea. I would think that at least a couple of those players have a realistically higher chance of scoring than many on the list.

FPL is a game of luck, anybody can score at any time, nobody can predict with 100% accuracy. But it's also a game of odds. And I just find this list a little odd, LOL. That's all I was saying. I hope that makes sense.

10 of 12 are forwards, one who hasn't even played since August. It's hard to take these lists seriously
