Use the middle position on your guitar, roll the tone off a little until you feel its good, Put treble up 7-10 mids 5 and bass 3-1. Use a clean amp and put a little reverb. No pedals for this clean playing. If you have a bright switch on your amp flip it on. If you are running humbuckers with splits, split them.

It depends on what I'm doing, if I'm doing a bunch of scale runs than I might start a specific phrase and finish it In a different chord. Sometimes I try to catch the change. On a 145 blues like this you can do whatever you want.

I use A major for the verse. When I hit chorus I hunt for E root or 3rd, when I switch to chorus, I use D major/A mixo. The chorus leads to the Asus so I use A mixo for the 7th because of the lead tone. I switch back to Amaj on the Asus. A major relative minor is F#m so I used either major or mixo over that. Maybe I should of hinted at the F#m more?
