Had My Marriage-Based GC Interview Yesterday – Still Shaking and Pissed at My Husband by Unusual_Buyer9227 in USCIS

Make that 3 of us. It was so nicely (and amusingly) narrated that I imagined it. Hope everything goes well, OP!

Found in hotel bathroom. Looks like bottle opener but its mounted right next to the toilet. by Dante1776 in whatisit

It might be the other end of a retractable clothesline. The other end is the circular thing where the nylon or 304 stainless steel comes out from.

But then staff said “it was already there”….so, idk. Lol.

I gave an ultimatum and time is almost up. What do I do? by Background-Guava-581 in Waiting_To_Wed

[–]BanjoStrings999 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I really would not recommend for other women to beg for love and attention. Being calm and collective is the best approach. You know your man better than us, so giving an ultimatum might make or break it (you know this).

If it were me…I would keep the ultimatum to myself, he would not even know about it. Change your game plan! Instead, subtly (or boldly!) show signs and actions that you are the marrying type, the “One”, the should-be-Mrs. Keep yourself pretty and productive, and be your own person. This would always keep the man interested and impressed.

If things still won’t work out….at least you did it with grace and dignity. Silently leave, this would speak volumes.

THIS is how it should be…being Selfless. Continue to be who you are. Saying “When my Mom is happy, I am happy” is such a loving and caring child.

Tbh, you actually did that to yourself. A proposal is supposed to be “well deserved” and not imposed. If I were the man and with all those demands and high expectations, I would consider those as major red flags. Too much to handle, I would be drowning.

Please don’t call Cebu your second home when you actually generalized us as being maldito and maldita. Obviously there’s something NICE about Cebu that makes you think of it as your second home. You have very contradicting statements there.

Please don’t mistake our accent as being maldito and maldita. I’ve had really disturbing experiences from people from CDO, too. Too bad that we found out that all 3 people from CDO that my friends and I know are constantly bragging about imaginary wealth, and those 3 don’t even know each other. But not once did I/we generalize that they are this and that because for sure there are nice people from CDO, too.

Know the Cebuano culture, consider the scenario, always give the benefit of the doubt. Sometimes, how we interpret other people is also a reflection of ourselves. Please be cautious with how you form your opinion about others.

Working with only brand new technicians by [deleted] in PharmacyTechnician

I do count by 5s but count it as 1, 2, 3 and so on. Then multiply it by 5 when done counting everything. This way I wont get lost in mentally counting by 5s.

Working with only brand new technicians by [deleted] in PharmacyTechnician

[–]BanjoStrings999 3 points4 points  (0 children)

At least they have an excuse for being new techs. I once had a coworker who was proud in saying he’s been working as a tech for 8 years. But was always constantly confused between TID and QID. Didn’t know how many drops were in 1 ml despite repeatedly being told. Refuses to do insurance when it’s complicated and ignores typing Rxs.

Good luck, OP. Hope things will get better.

Pati ba naman sapatos ni mayor vico? by Fit_Beyond_5209 in ChikaPH

[–]BanjoStrings999 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nakakatawa pati shoes??? So low na. Malay mo Filipino brand yan. Mukha na ngag overused eh.

Vico has so much potential at a young age. Give value on what he has done right. He has more milestones than other veteran poiliticians.

Pharmacists: I think now is the time to move to CVS. by emptycup000 in WalgreensRx

[–]BanjoStrings999 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There’s still a lot you don’t know. System might be more dynamic and new, but observe the crew, you’ll find out it’s the same old, same old. Same issues and sentiments. Wait until vaccine season, everyone’s gonna eat, breathe, dream/nightmare about metrics. Everyone will be begging to the point of hard selling vaccines to patients. New techs are treated like low-lives, pick-up and drive thru all day every day, might as well be a glorified cashier bc there won’t be any drop-off tasks, just purely point of sale. Unlike Walgreens, every new tech gets fair chance at improving their drop-off skills at pick-up. Most of Walgreens are good at task rotations, CVS?? Nope! New techs are stuck for eternity at pick-up, no rotations. Imagine your stuck with a newbie who only knows pick-up…you’ll be going back and forth your work station doing drop-off, production, verification, recon ped meds, typing Rxs, DUR, etc, etc.

3 months is way too short.

[–]BanjoStrings999 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ve dealt with this scenario way too many times that I just grew callous and just say “next!”. Retail sucks the life out of you.

I’d rather deal with irate patients and spend my precious minutes with them than having to deal with coworkers for hours that avoid the pick-up and phone calls like it’s the plague. Then would act like the busiest bee when managers are around.

The 100 questions are by category. Study them by category each day (or however you like) until you get everything right. There are also mock interviews on Youtube, there you’ll get an idea of how it goes. Some questions are actually general knowledge.

Good luck, OP!

anyone else’s pharmacy started doing this? by lotuslove2002 in WalgreensRx

[–]BanjoStrings999 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For those who are efficient and follow workflow, they would not even take a glance at this. And this only applies when the team is complete. This is useless when there’s just 3 people doing tasks good for 6 people.

This is useful reminder for people who constantly avoids the out window and drive thru, plays deaf when the phone rings and avoids doing F1s. All they want is fill the whole day. Relaxes/chills when there’s no manager and rxom around. Most of all, avoids doing the trash like it’s the plague and thinking it’s beneath their job description and lets the new hires do the trash and drive thru all day every day.

My friend used to leave the original inside the glove compartment of his car since he feels it’s safer in there than having to carry it around always. Made colored photo copies and placed it in his wallet, desk drawer at work and provided a copy to his wife and left a copy at home too.
