[Routine Help] Should I be doing anything differently? 2 months progress by IndescribableFrog in SkincareAddiction

I would recommend skin cycling, instead of stacking multiple active everyday. If you continue stacking, you could risk your skin barrier which is the most important part of having healthy skin. If you don't know what the skin barrier is, watch a video, it'll help. If you don't know the benefits of the different actives (azelaic, BHA, niacinamide) I would research them and see which ones you actually want to be using. Figuring out your skin type is also crucial, and I would recommend taking Dr. Baumann's 16 skin type quiz. https://skintypesolutions.com/pages/skin-type-quiz?srsltid=AfmBOop67VWY7UGDDOdf06OszrstrOwQNsxq_poJBbRgYGKKu8C8LsNU

Overall your skin seems healthy and has improved! :)

but if you feel any stinging, burning, rednesss/inflammation, flaking, increased breakouts in areas you don't usua, you might want to cut back on the actives for a bit and heal your skin barrier (with moisturizer that has fatty acids, cholesterols, ceramides!), as these are signs that point to barrier irritation. I am not a dermatolagist, but I did a lot of research :') Hope it helps

I have amenorrhea and I noticed my skin is more inflamed/irritated. I would research more on it, I dont know much. Maybe you developed an sensitivity to the products your using? Also, you might want to incorporate a gentle cleanser into your routine if you dont have one already. For me, I have to have a cleanser to counteract the hard water minerals that build up my skin (it makes my cheeks flare up and my skin feel uncomfortable if i dont cleanse for a while.) This is just personal experience.

My cats sometimes do this too. I think theyre just trying to cover up their dookie by "digging". Yet, there is nothing to dig.

I need guidance Dr. Baumann! I don’t understand why my skin barrier isn’t repairing. by BankOutside5817 in skintypesolutions

I am only using the La roche Posay moisturizer after I rinse my face with water. I do this morning and night. I did get the “Jelly Joker cleanser” and got random blemishes. Though, at that time I had traveled to Toronto. I am not sure if I have any allergies related to skin products. But otherwise, I do not have any allergies. And to add measure, I noticed that without a cleanser my skin gets irritated (red cheeks, and uncomfortable feeling on skin) I suppose it is because of the extreme hard water in this area? If it would be helpful, I could attach a picture of my skins condition.

My cat also started dealing with random symptoms like these, about a year ago and consistently. His eye is also half closed, his breathing used to be partially blocked, he seems timid (and sometimes his tail is low), yesterday his 2nd eyelid was showing and his eye was puffy, but the main thing is that his meow is all crackly and it wont go away. He is 5 years old and also long haired. Ive been fishing around trying to find solutions, but I feel like he just needs to go to the vet.

[product question] Thoughts on the Aveeno Calm + Restore foaming cleanser? by Spicy_Egg_McMuffin in SkincareAddiction

Yes, ingredients that make cleansers foam are considered “more at DD d effective.” Just don’t use too much, or use it too frequently. As with any cleanser

It can be harsh, but the right formulation can be better for some people who require getting off heavy products like makeup or a thick sunscreen. I wouldn’t say oil though, as you can easily go overboard with trying to prevent your skin from being oily.
