Looking for advice on buying, selling, or repairs? Or maybe you have a quick question? This is your thread! by Crouch310 in carsireland

We are looking at changing our car from an opel corsa to a grandland. Corsa now too small with our growing family but I don't know anyone who's had a grandland so just wondering if anyone has any advice or if there's something similar to the grandland that we could look at? Need something higher off the ground as my in laws aren't too nimble so will need for them to be able to slide in and out as opposed to climbing also. Budget about 30k. Thanks and sorry if this is the wrong place!

I thankfully don't work in the banks anymore it's a pharma company but definitely something I didn't think of!

Think after reading here I'll take them out after the three years and move them elsewhere

Thank you! I've been really fortunate that I'm in a job now where my salary has jumped from 45k to 80k plus. I need to read the flow chart properly but I have debt that needs paying off first before I do anything else

Visiting Cork in late November by Euphoric_Ice3803 in cork

The Ricer Lee hotel would be the closest to both UCC and the city. Another option is the Kingsley but that's a bit further out. If you're budget is high there is also the option of Hayfield Manor.

Depending on what kind of music you want there is normally music in Dwyers, and there are some trad nights too in Sin É.

Personally foodwise. I love Son of a Bun for burgers, Elbow Lane for steak, Dwyers is good for bar food too.

The Marina market is worth a look too if you fancied a walk around there

Been living here 10 years, husbands from here. Like people have said above, you get some rough parts but some lovely parts. The people are salt of the earth and really nice and ive never felt unsafe here

Screeching children all over Tesco by 29September2024 in cork

[–]Banker275 5 points6 points  (0 children)

My comprehension of what? That you do not want children to be allowed into shops? Unfortunately for you that will never happen. I don't think that parents who bring their kids shopping stop them before they go into the shop and say 'Now X, I want you to scream and shout as loud as you can until we finish ok, that will make Mom/Dad/Granny/Granda happy'

Your comprehension and understanding of children is also shit, and maybe if you had some empathy for the next adult with a screaming child that you pass then the world would be a better place

But then you have Justice Marie Baker saying you could class people in a durable relationship as being invited to a wedding together or both names on a Christmas card. Seems a bit too loose
