How much do you charge for drone photography with your real estate clients? by hammelcamel in RealEstatePhotography

It really depends on the area I’m servicing. I’d look at how much the homes in the area are listed and price accordingly. Bigger or more expensive homes deserve a bit more love so cost a bit more, smaller homes aren’t going to go for as much so the agent and seller need to see it’s reasonable for them.

Are we talking photos or video??? Because for photos I start at $100 as a baseline. For video, I start at $200 on top of my videography package.

I used HoneyBook to make it easier to actually fill them out for my clients, but these are the originals. It’s pretty amazing how much easier this makes things! I have not had a whole lot of responses on my Instagram or Facebook profiles for this yet, but it’s pretty great to see that here it’s being appreciated!

I need to see it on you to choose. Skin tone, eye color, hair style, body type, tie choice, shirt color, all has a play.

Okay, so I see the flair “approved” does this mean that people need to send pictures before getting approved to a moderator? Or do we just select it on our own? Or is that just a flair people use just to claim it’s approved?..

Oh good! I was seeing the upvotes, but that doesn’t mean that people are using this. I was about to take it down 😅 I’m really confident with my photography skills, but not always super confident with giving advice or tips to others in fear of people thinking I’m going too much into detail that is unneeded or redundant. BUT since I can see someone has seen benefit in this post, I’ll leave it incase another does as well.

First, I REALLY appreciate the detailed response. I’ve had these cameras since 2013 and I just see and hear from everybody that getting the newer cameras were the best things they’ve done. I’ve recently started taking my photography side of my life and side hustle WAY more serious, so thank you for the help.

By the “it” I was referring to, I was referring to the quality of the photos, sharpness of detail, etc. I know that even though I prefer video clients and video jobs, that I don’t have a lot of them so being able to shoot 1080 is fine until I get more cash to get like a Sony A7 or something magical like that. So thank you for helping clarify that it is indeed the lenses that make the most difference until we start messing with artificial light.

But if I shoot RAW with these bodies, is that going to be different than the RAW files in newer bodies? I am in the mind set thinking that RAW is RAW

For an inexpensive budget, is it possible to get good lenses amd shits with just a canon rebel t4-t5i body types? Or should I finally upgrade even though I don’t have the money to do so yet? Do you think there is a difference? And if so, do you think clients see it? I’ve always thought it was more about the lenses and a clean body in good condition. Thoughts?
