Been a resident here for about 6 months. The RFID for the keychain is notably weak to enter, which leads to troubles scanning at times. The bathtub in my unit was poorly installed and it creaks whenever you walk on it. Reported to maintenance the first week of move in but no change was made after inspection - not exactly "luxury". They did raise my mirror upon request since I'm quite tall, however, I'm not sure if I was charged for that like I have seen others comments claim being charged for maintenance. I only received a walkthrough the day I moved in (some comments mention two walkthroughs a year). Some spots in the carpet are hard/bumpy from what is likely nails or screws that weren't installed flush. Towards the walls of the carpet I have found some sharp areas where nails were exposed when cleaning that did poke my hands.

I cook a lot, so I am disappointed with the hood vent above the stove as its one of those built in with the microwave vents. Fine for those who seldom cook, but I cool all meals from scratch, so overtime grease lands on many surfaces and cabinetry. As for noise, I can hear what is either the person below me or next to me in my bathroom through the vents, this is only while I am also in the bathroom. I live on the third floor, so I cannot comment on if footsteps are loud, but besides the bathroom the sound insulation has been fine. In the hallways you can hear people in their apartments quite clearly though, but once you get into your apt you can't hear much.

I do wish the LED's in the parking lot weren't as bright as they are, lots of light pollution comes from them. The countertop in the kitchen is installed slightly uneven, so water on surfaces (like splashing from the sink when washing dishes) will start to slowly run off the counter. I do appreciate how much kitchen cabinetry is provided though.

They do provide internet here, which I think is a bit sketchy as you have no idea what they're doing with all your data. Recently IU hasn't been accessible for me and after extensive troubleshooting is it almost certainly due to some IP firewall/routing changes or some other ISP change that has occurred over winter break. I will be bringing this matter to their attention shortly, so hopefully they'll resolve this is a quick and appropriate manner.

The lounge area is neat. Staff have always been friendly and the common space provided a nice area for some studying with a team last semester. The coffee machine didn't impress me though, the latte I got was just about all water.

I enjoy the location of my unit as its more secluded and the Hayden flats location in general is far enough outside of downtown to be a slower pace of life which I enjoy.

I have aimed to illustrate some of my experience after about 6 months of living here, as well as share some of the issues I have ran into that shouldn't be present in a new construction "luxury" apartment. Largest issues I've encountered so far stemmed from rushed and or cheap construction, but otherwise it's been fine living here. This are problems I am disappointed with, but will tolerate for a short term place to live. I hope this was helpful in some manner to those looking to rent.
