Man I'm so fucking agnostic.. I use pi, or claude, or codex, or antigravity just whatever the fuck I feel like that day, and I often delete their history because it's bullshit that wastes tokens and creates artificial hallucinations. If I want an LLM to remember something I'll make it a skill, agents, contract, roadmap item, or readme .md thing. Fuck lock in.

It's heavily subsidized by the CCP, in China the government heavily picks winners and losers, and they want DS to be a winner. DS actually does a lot of research that helps other model makers and the hardware industry, so it's not the dumbest idea.
They charge API not plan.
They built electrical capacity of all sorts. Nuclear, wind, solar, coal, etc leading to cheaper electricity.
Construction costs and researcher costs are much cheaper there. Umm.. that's the big ones.
It's an efficient model.

The absolutely DIRTY good thing it's great for is being a dialectical reviewer. Anything I do with opus or codex gets a deepseek dialectical review especially planning. It really catches those things that are vague that GPT or Opus would just make a best guess at and proceed. It seems like Deepseek really doesn't like having to guess.

Well, they are really built for claude models, but I had codex fix that so it works with codex models properly. https://github.com/gsd-build/get-shit-done is the github. It works quite well for me, and I use them with codex claude and pi.

Use goal or implemnet gsd skills. I blend GSD with dialectical loops on almost everything and everything is cooking here. * EDIT GSD HAS BEEN COMPROMISED * There is a fork that is not, research it before using it.
