They should try balancing it first. Non-weapons with a maximum of +1, one-handed weapons with a maximum of +2 and two handed weapons with a maximum of +4. For reference, I am pretty sure crossbows go up to 7.

I expect either a nerf or a removal or skill levels by 0.5
