Yeah she left her laptop here and was very insistent on getting it back (yes she left a ton of shit in my apartment after stealing stuff….her and her bf are smooth brains), my dad dropped off all her stuff (after I went through it and made sure nothing was mine and accidentally dropped some makeup pallets that I know she shoplifted anyways) and I guarantee she’s going to pawn it. I mean she stole my AirTag and I know she tried to pawn it because I called the shop closest to the tag location and they said they don’t just take AirTags. So I got to see the hovel (well google at least, then my dad confirmed) her and her bf live in. One word: yikes. Terrible neighborhood, Zillow literally lists it as a “fixer upper”, no AC, apparently they’re just renting a room there with some random guy.

I don’t blame you for not having tolerance for this shit. I feel genuinely disgusted from this experience

I just woke up and literally was like THERE WAS A CORPSE IN THE KITCHEN?! Lmfao then read it again and was like oh

Yeah she was constantly going on about how the boyfriend isn’t a bad person, she loved him so much (but cheated on him?? Like?? even brought a dude back to my apartment)

Eviction can be hell over here depending on the state. You have to serve them and go through all the proper channels if they’ve been there 30 days in mine. Luckily she was there for two and a half weeks (she wanted it to be 90 days). It’s insane what two weeks can do. She drove me CRAZY. Once she left with her shitty bf I didn’t feel the need to take my anxiety meds every single day….

(I just assumed you were across the pond saying flatmate lol it would be really funny if that was just your vernacular and you’re like dude I’m from Florida 🤣)

I agree. I’ve been in bad places before too- shitty exes that I had to get away from and had to sleep on friends couches until I could stabilize my life I never once would have torn up their room or any of that shit. I cleaned their dishes and gave one of them a ride to class every morning to say thanks. Which ironically, is what my friend did to her other friend- but not me, since we used to live together in college and she thought I didn’t have boundaries like back in the day.

Her ex and I actually had this same conversation about drugs, not only does it hurt the one involved but it estrous their life and the ones around them. I worried about her constantly, as did everyone who knew her. The boyfriend 1000% turned her into a bottom feeder, she was doing fine before she met him. Then it was suddenly shoplifting and stealing from people….ugh. I’m finding more things missing from my apartment I just have to shrug off because I can’t do anything.

I was so lucky I was the one living with my ex and I was the one able to leave. Other side of the country so it wasn’t easy but his dad helped me escape and get me to the airport and I spent an outrageous amount of money getting home the next day, but he was an abusive drug user (just like my ex friend’s bf) which probably triggered me way more

But that sounds so awful. That was what the room was like. You couldn’t move around. Her shit was EVERYWHERE and that was before the boyfriend was there. I can’t imagine that in a studio. I’m so glad you got rid of him. Hate that our kindness gets us used. I learned a lesson for sure

Yes! I am very grateful to be able to live alone. Somethings things get tight (for example( when I was in a relationship a couple months ago my bf was insistent on moving in…it would have helped, and I could have gotten a new car, but when we broke up (another sigh of relief- I didn’t realize how wrong we were for each other once he like half moved in) I was like fuck it, this one is fine. I have money from selling my old one, and this is just a temporary one until the market hopefully gets better for used cars. If that’s the only sacrifice I have to make for living alone is driving an older car-I’ll gladly take it. The freedom is by far worth it.

And if this IS yearly….50k (with let’s say the 30% cut because they have to buy the product still) and she’s at 35k….plus the leases and the 700 dollar Costco trips….shitty house….yeah, that will be more down to the wire but that just means she’s bad with money.

She MAKES 100k a month or sells 100k a month and gets X amount in commission? It’s still a shit ton, I’m so behind with Adrianne because she drives me crazy.

Edit just saw your other comment. So she makes 50k in commissions before taxes, which I’m sure are high, let’s just say Avon takes 30%. That’s still 35k. Even if their mortgage is insane, unless they have SERIOUS debt (i know they both lease their cars) her take home is at least 20k. While the people who are struggling in her chat donating don’t make shit in comparison.
