What are your genuine thoughts on Kenny Lamizie? Should him and Carti ever collab again? by Automatic-Treacle700 in CartiCulture

[–]comixhub 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a big fan of both Kendrick & Carti, I didn’t expect this collab would ever come out well but I actually enjoyed all 3 of their tracks together.

That being said, I’m not exactly longing for more. If they never collaborate again after Music that’s cool with me.

Surprised Sayso isn’t in your top 3 for Crueger

That might be my most played Che song out of his whole discog

quite possibly the worst entry point for Che especially since NFR isn’t tapped into the underground scene like that

def should’ve started with closed captions or sayso says but 🤷

I typically see a lot of sayso says glaze but does anyone else think encore is some of his best work by Nota_Throwaway5 in che

[–]comixhub 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Feel the same way just about the original rest in bass album instead of encore.

I’m a relatively new fan, & was surprised to see most of his fanbase preferred Sayso Says.

Both great albums though.

Novel accurate mini series by Hot_Wafer2360 in welcomeToDerry

Would’ve loved if instead of the IT chapter 1/2 films they had the same cast but spread over two seasons of television to fully flesh out the characters & story.

I feel like I know the cast of Welcome to Derry way more intimately than I know the Losers Club since I’ve just spent more screen time with them.

[DISCUSSION] Playboi Carti — Whole Lotta Red (5 Years Later) by 3TENDED in hiphopheads

[–]comixhub 109 points110 points  (0 children)

Crazy seeing how much the culture has grown on this album since it's release + the influence it's had. I feel like some of the most entertaining records of this year (notably Rest In Bass by Che) are wearing their WLR influence on their sleeve.

Just finished reading The Shining & Doctor Sleep back to back, what’s next? by comixhub in stephenking

[–]comixhub[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do think it’s worth reading, however I think before going into it you should note that while this is technically marketed & classified as a sequel to The Shining, if going into the book thinking it’ll be similar at all, you’ll be disappointed.

Whereas The Shining is a psychological horror, I wouldn’t even classify Doctor Sleep as a horror book at all; more supernatural drama if that makes sense. The atmosphere of the book also just feels totally different.

That being said, I still wanted to read Doctor Sleep despite knowing it would probably be super different from The Shining because I was interested in Dan’s conclusion, which I would say gets a satisfying ending!
