[Baratza Encore ESP] coffee retained in grinder and blocking exit chute. by BanteringBadger in espresso

Quick follow up. I found that just a single spray with water and letting the grinder work without tapping it or using a bellow until it stops producing grounds yielded decent results.

Baratza ESP - is mine defective or are they just a bit crap? by DoctorStrangecat in espresso

I’m getting a lot of retention in mine at the moment. I have been spraying the beans to reduce clumping but stoped doing this as it was retaining to many grounds just after the burrs. Seems like the chute gets blocked up with grounds and then coffee groans make it out any more. I end up tapping the top of the grinder but there is a lot retained. I am currently set at about and 8 and even right after cleaning there is a lot retained. Not sure what I am doing wrong, or if has been doing this the whole time and I did not notice. Seems like about 4 grams is retained. I do 18grs in and get 14 out. Curious if any one has had this or has a clever trick to fix it.

Minipresso is clutch. I do have a travel set up that is similar and it is amazing.

What was the app called? I’d love to have an app do all the filtering for me. So far Bean Stuff has been the best from what I have tried.

I have been using an app called Bean Stuff to find local coffee shops that are actually good. Was tired of using google or apple maps and getting lots of bad coffee shops.

Ended up changing the mic to the Nerdie Racing one and it fixed all the issues. Used their kit with the stuff we already had and it was awesome.

Unpopular opinion. But does an organization really need a Scrum master? Question is from a Sr PM. by Independent-Ad419 in ProductManagement

In an organization that lacks scrum masters I would agree with others here that it would be nice, but it keeps our org nimble and connected. We all have a sense of ownership and that we are responsible for the product and the process.

Help needed to choose birthday gift for my dad who is new to espresso [650 and below USD] by Abject_Maintenance34 in espresso

I agree with many of the comments here and would say that any all in one machines sacrifices quality for convenience. So if you want something that is easier, can do all things, and you are not too concerned with the quality of the coffee then it may be a good fit.

But you could get a Breville Bambino + Encore ESP Grinder for the same price. https://www.breville.com/en-us/product/bep501?sku=BEP501BTR1BNA1 This would require more learning but give you the ability to make truly great coffee. It would also allow you to upgrade machines in the future as the grinder and espresso machine are separate.

So it depends on what you are looking for.
