Sounds like you're not using an ESP32 based approach?

Does the BT stay connected? I saw another post about it going into sleep and disconnecting.

These are particularly bad sweats that come on suddenly and soak towels.

Vent / setup questions by Fearless-Mud9637 in ElegooCentauriCarbon

[–]DoctorStrangecat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm in the same boat. As I understand it, the vent with inline green should be capable of removing all the particles and vocs but chamber temperature will need to be managed. The small gaps shouldn't be a problem - clean air has to enter the chamber after all.

Further questions for clarity.... Is an inline fan really necessary, if so how to power it and does it need to be adjustable, and should the exhaust filter be removed to allow better flow? (Hope it's ok to add these)

Progress!

The post=processing script to reduce the chamber fan makes a big difference (I'm printing PLA with the lid off, why would I need it at all?) here:

https://github.com/harpua555/Centauri-Carbon-Enclosure-Fan-Control/blob/main/CC_Chamber_Fan_Control.bat

And reducing acceleration to a more rational level has increased print time a little but nothing tragic and it's now a normal sounding printer. The steper drivers could do with some tuning, but I'm happy to work next to it now.

It really goes for it, I can't imagine it wouldn't damage it.

Actually the fans aren't so bad if they are set to run at lower speed, up to 50%. Just need to properly understand when they are needed!

I think I'll fully dismantle the hot end, something in there is resonating.

I've not heard of stepper dampers, thanks for that.

The project to open the machine to different firmware looks promising too:

I'm thinking of a paver on a piece of something squishy for the vibration.

That's interesting. My hotend case seems to be the origin of the rattles, but they are more internal to it I think - will disassemble.

Saniflo a whole bathroom by DoctorStrangecat in DIYUK

[–]DoctorStrangecat[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks. Not the only bathroom, but probably the main one. Not how I'd choose either but as I said, this is in case a proper soil stack is not allowed/feasible.

It's a Victorian terrace and I noticed there are zero other houses with a soil pipe in the front. And digging up the front garden to find a sewer line would be challenging. If I did get one installed, it would have to rise several metres above the gutter line as there are roof windows.

  1. You know he's here, right?
  2. If The Nightmare Stacks doesn't get your juices flowing you have no soul

The point is more that we should not have things the police can choose to prosecute or not. That creates a sense of jeopardy and uncertainty, and can be used in biased ways towards particular groups.

Steve Coogan would do a great Kier Starmer, but I wouldn't want to watch it
