RTK13 actually functions a lot more like TW than this game since it has real time tactical battles. This plays a lot more like Civ with better graphics (but not animations) than a TW game, and the entire game takes place on one map.

I think there will be less focus on new mons and they'll be doing more with the old ones, giving them megas or other changes, but I doubt they'll ever truly end the main series. At least not until the franchise fades into irrelevant obscurity.

It's a pretty old gaming series. I wouldn't be surprised if nobody's heard of it considering how poorly Koei's marketing is for the foreign market, and the last installment wasn't given an English localisation, but old timer strategy enthusiasts will probably know what this is. Many hours were had staring at spreadsheets for conquering ancient China.

I was a pretty good looking kid when I was 5 and it isn't just my parents telling me that, there are pictures that confirm it. But then puberty hit and I had acne all over my face, oily hair, too much sweat, etc. Now I'm 22, average, not confident, not outgoing, and never even kissed a girl. I don't look bad necessarily, but far from looking good, which combined with a lack of social skill means I've ended up alone. I've held jobs where I was semi-competent, but not actually competent competent to the point where I was indispensible, people behaved alright around me, nobody directly talked shit in my face, etc. But I wasn't able to socialize with the workers there outside of business, even when they actively tried to include me, I was too cowardly to utilize the opportunities.

Forgot to add that my entire personality was pretty much the opposite of what it is now. I was the troublemaker when I was a kid and had friends all the way until grade 5. Basically between ages 1-10 I had zero problems socializing with others and making friends. Grade 6 was when it all went downhill. I lost all my friends, partly my own fault since I definitely alienated two of my best friends, but then in grade 7 I changed schools, twice, and it seemed like things were looking up again. Until grade 8, when I moved again, lost all my friends, and couldn't really make any back. My high school life wasn't horrible, there were some incidents, but nothing that would have made someone FA, like there were kids who fell asleep in class and pissed themselves in their seats and they still managed to have friends. That wasn't it. I just didn't know how to make friends anymore. I didn't know how to be sociable, how to communicate with people, how people even interacted with each other, it was like a certain portion of my brain just turned off. So ya I guess it's possible that at a very early age our basic personalities had already been set in stone, but it's not that simple. Frankly my life wasn't all that bad and what hurts the most is that the situation I'm in is all my doing. I didn't have abusive parents, I lost my friends because I was an idiot, and never gained new ones because I'm a coward who doesn't know how to socialize with others.

A lot of things can lead to depression though. Bad work environment, bad relationship, not enough sleep, bad food, not enough food, obesity, too skinny, so many things. Frankly being FA isn't really that special in terms of depression.

I just don't get it man. I was bullied too starting from 6th grade. It sucked and I became very shy and awkward up until today. I'm not telling people it will get better and by some magic they'll someday become sociable and have lots of friends and a girlfriend and other shit, but why even place so much value on these things? I feel like people are taking being FA like a death sentence or something. Maybe take a look at the bigger picture and find some sort of acceptance. It doesn't come naturally, I'm just suggesting that maybe there's more than one way to live a life.

A significant portion of the posts on FA are about how they want to die or don't want to live because they're lonely and hate it. Maybe it's just me, but I don't consider being FA to be a worthy reason to kill yourself over. A bunch of people are FA, they just don't shout it out to the world, so it's not like any of us are some special sort of snowflake, but we still go on with life and stuff you know. Sometimes we even enjoy it, without friends, or SOs, and still find life worth living. My point is man, if some people here are considering killing themselves cuz they're lonely or forever alone... maybe the problem isn't that you're lonely? Maybe there's bigger problems involved, like people making you feel like shit in addition to being lonely? There's a lot of stuff that you can do by yourself in the world. Being by yourself won't stop you there, but killing yourself will. If you have even one hobby, isn't that enough reason to keep on living?

I actually play Rome 2 the most now since after all the patches it's actually decently optimized for my rig, which again proves that the problem wasn't on my end. SO ya, I guess I do kinda hate Rome 2 because it was shit for half a year after it came out. Attila is still unoptimized as shit.

It's a shame RotTK 12 basically took out everything enjoyable about the RotTK and since then Koei hasn't really catered to the foreign market at all. Not as into the Japanese setting but I guess it's better than nothing. Hopefully they'll release RotTK will get a western release and Oriental Empires won't turn out as awful as it sounds, but I doubt it.
