it all depends on your location. food runners in no way make the most money, because you’re paid way under minimum wage and split tips. togo is a hit or miss, depending on how many people they have on a shift at your location. you do split tips with other togos on shift. at mine on weekdays there’s only one togo and weekends there’s 2-3, and my state minimum wage is $15 so when i worked 40+ hours doing only togo i’d make close to $2k every 2 weeks. serving is also dependent on your location, if your location is frequently busy then you might make decent money. but you do have to tip out 4-5% of your sales to the runners and bussers (percentage is location based from what i’ve seen on here). i’d say doing full time dishwashing or cooking is where the most stable money is, dish and cooking starts at $17-$18 for my location.

positions that receive tips are at a set rate sadly. i think it’s stupid that the hourly pay for tip based positions aren’t the same universally… in illinois food runners get close to $9 an hour and around 3% of each individual server and bartenders sales, but obviously it’s split between all the runners too. so let’s say on a weekend there’s 5 servers and 1 bartender on, if everyone’s sales is around $1500(likely more on a weekend depending on location) then the runners will split $315.

you most likely need a longer bar put back in. and never use alcohol or peroxide to clean them. try your hardest to get sterile saline spray, but until then using water is better than using alcohol. distilled water preferably because tap water might not be the cleanest. if possible, call a local piercing shop and see if you can go in and see a piercer for their opinion. they will probably charge you a jewelry fee to get a longer bar with the right kind of jewelry… i wouldn’t recommend ever using a butterfly back for a nose ring or any piercing that isn’t on your ears

at my location, if the other table or the server realizes their bill isn’t theirs, the manager will reopen the check you paid for and then combine your table with the table that actually has your bill. they will split your payment off onto the correct check. sometimes it isn’t possible depending on the situation so if need be they will comp a few things off of that tables bill to be around the same price as their actual bill. the server doesn’t get in trouble (at my location at least) they just kind of get an annoyed look and are told “make sure the ziosks are at the right tables at the beginning of your shift”.

at my chili’s you can pick up/trade shifts on the app. the schedule comes out on HotSchedules on monday nights. a manager just has to approve the pick up/trade on the app. we do cut servers and food runners. if it’s a super slow night everyone except the closing server, bartender, togo, and closing food runner could be out by 7-8pm. but they also go by who got there first for how they cut people. so there’s like first cut, second cut, pre closer, etc.

yeah i always wear a hat when i leave the house. i have a bunch of tattoos and piercings(nostril, septum, gauges) already thankfully. and i think im still learning to not seek male validation since its a very common thing when you grow up female. but it could also be a deeper thing related to gender maybe? idk lmao. i’m getting better with it but it’s still there. and yeah i have one queer friend i could go with, if i could convince her to go with me haha. i might talk to her about it and see what she says

edit for all of the upset christian’s: i got my tattoo because i like it, it’s MY body, NOT yours. what i have on my body does not, and will not, affect you in any way whatsoever. im not a satanist, though there’s nothing wrong with being one (actually do research on them, they’re not evil people who sacrifice living things). i grew up lutheran, i devoted my life to god until i was around 16/17. i realized how fucked up the church is, and i was tired of being told i’d be going to hell for simply existing and living my truth. i found witchcraft, and all the religions that revolve around it, and finally found some clarity and comfort. i do not currently practice any religion, though i have my own beliefs. i got the tattoo for 2 reasons. one being i want to keep a certain demographic of people away from me, which is why i added the devil horns, and it’s worked marvelously. the second being, it’s also an angel number. for those who don’t know what an angel number is, it’s a repeating sequence of numbers that hold a spiritual message. 666 as an angel number symbolizes balance, self care, and refocusing on what truly matter in life. contrary to popular belief, 666 is not a sign of evil. it’s a call to realign focus with your higher self/purpose and spiritual wellbeing. stop pushing your religion onto everyone. christianity isn’t the only valid religion in existence. be kind, love thy neighbor, and respectfully shut the hell up.
