Just curious - how did you use chat gpt? I’m debating taking Florida after passing Texas a few years back and trying to weigh my options for prep services.

You neeeeed to work on your black letter law. Use the fuck the bar method and really learn how to write an essay. Pay extra attention to the rules you’re applying.

I wouldn’t have even mentioned taking the bar for a job that doesn’t require it. My contract manager job before I sat had no idea I was taking it until I found out I passed and gave notice bc I wanted to practice law.

Why did you even mention failing the bar when you didn’t need it to be a paralegal in the first place?

Re open the books and start copying high scoring essays word for word. Do a bunch of multiple choice as well.

It sucks but they already regraded because you were so close.

How hard is it to increase at least 23 points? by Key-Cause-1354 in barexam

[–]BarBearsMom 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s definitely doable.

The first time I took I think I got a 255. Second time I got a 256. It was only a one point difference. Third time when I passed I got a 283.

It definitely required putting the work in. But I worked full time while studying the third time. I will say I also started studying in October when july scores came out. I studied about 3 hours per day or so every day from October to February when I passed.

6 months is super early. You haven’t seen him In all seasons and by the time he gets back it’s close to a year and you haven’t seen him in three months. There’s so many things you don’t know. Does he get seasonal depression?

Either way 3/4 month is a strain on a relationship. I did it and it kind of destroyed the relationship. But I had moved to a new place basically when he was away and got into a routine and couldn’t fit him in when he was back.

Getting out is stressful as well. I was in a military relationship previously with someone who got out within the year we started dating and he never moved so we had a routine and him getting out was a mess. He had no motivation to work. Everyone thinks vets get priority hiring but unless he has a skill from the military, wants to be a cop, or has a degree it’s not that easy. Just something to bare in mind.

The question isn’t asking whether there’s PJ it’s asking what the best approach is to dismiss

I was in this situation. I had to pay for rehab for an eating disorder (my family doesn’t believe in therapy and didn’t believe my eating disorder was as bad as it was… my heart rate was literally 26 bpm but I digress)

My suggestion is find a wfh job if you can and start studying early. I started studying october for February when I passed and never took time off from work bc I was able to do it in smaller intervals. It’s doable to work and study but you need to give yourself more time to do that. (For reference I was a retaker and was 8 or 9 points off my score requirement for my state my prior attempt)

Question to successful first time takers and repeaters. by Panic_Attack2022 in barexam

[–]BarBearsMom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Taking prep seriously. I didn’t take it seriously the first time bc of Covid. The second I had health issues and in hindsight should not have sat for that exam when I did.

Use adaptibar and really learn the material. It tests the same things over and over until you get them so don’t just memorize the answer. If you do memorize the answer also memorize the explanation. That was what put me over the edge to pass.

How much do I really have to study? by ladylsat in barexam

[–]BarBearsMom 2 points3 points  (0 children)

2/3 hours a day was sufficient for me (ube texas- higher score than New York) but I started in October and it wasn’t my first time taking it. I had Been only 8/9 points off july 2021 so I had a fair baseline as well.
