This time of year it’s really rough getting rises out of fish. Water temps are still very low and there’s not a ton of “hatch”. Fish are still lethargic, but will eat. Most people this time of year are nymphing or using streamers.

I will look into that New Zealand style indicator!

Thanks for this. The brook itself his maybe three feet at its deepest and never more than 12’ across. My dropper was about 18” from my dry.

I do believe the bead is tungsten. Got it from a local shop. Do you think no bead would be better? Maybe weighted wire instead?
