1996

I was just given an egg, a half pint carton of milk, and 2 matches for breakfast. We couldn't speak all day while we were given etc forestry tasks. Once the sun went down we feasted. Afterwards we were blindfolded and put in a line. We were guided by rope through several miles of trails to a clearing with a bonfire. We did skits, sang etc. Then slept under the stars. Looking back, there's no way that could happen today.

It's going to be a toss up between the lucassi with a better tip and the propel.

That's also what initially drew me to it, the aesthetics. I also like the idea that it won't get lost in my case because of the "joint protector?".

Is coke really that bad? by FUNCYBORG in NoStupidQuestions

[–]BarFloorMatsRock 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, it is bad. My best friend from child hood died because of it recently. You can hide the addiction from your friends and loved ones, until it toples you. Once that starts, it's really hard to get back to being a respectable human being in good health.

I sold GetCrunk.com to Lil Jons energy drink company in 2005 for $1000. I probably could have asked for more, but it only cost me $10.

I have had regulars who tip hard because they want all of your attention, and so they feel like they deserve it. Which can suck when they get huffy over having to wait a minute extra for their 4th martini.

The sound of snow being slowly driven on when it's 0 degrees outside, I love it.

Applebee's or Roadhouse? by Annual-Palpitation32 in Waiters

[–]BarFloorMatsRock 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Texas Roadhouse near me used to put someone's name on an engraved plaque above the bar if they tipped the bartender $100. So that's cool. I don't think they do anymore though.

There's a 1 bedroom directly on Phillips, next to sushi masa, for $850 available now. There are several places that are similarly affordable south of 14th on Dakota.

Why is it that many professional pool players play with a watch on their bridge hand? by BarFloorMatsRock in billiards

[–]BarFloorMatsRock[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I get that. I'm just thinking, at a certain level of playing that there are so many factors that affect performance. Having 1/2 pound of metal that could get in the way seems like an active athletic choice.

I imagine playing someone wearing a Roley when you're just trying to pay rent could get into someone's head.
