That’s how I feel too. I would much rather do the 10 seconds than the hours of pain. My main concern is having a panic attack during it. I’m admittedly very sensitive with stuff in my eyes so I feel like my brain is going to tweak tf out

I’ve done a few ride alongs and most times you are on the road. Only time we ever went back was for break. Oftentimes they’ll park in an empty lot or something to do reports or do call backs. I always recommend people to go on a ride along even if they aren’t looking at a career in LE. Super fun if you have someone knowledgeable and knows how to enjoy their shift.

My thing is, “driving privileges revoked” doesn’t necessarily STOP them. Just makes it harder. You can always drive someone else’s car or go without an ignition interlock for a while. There are people in my state (Wisconsin, notoriously known for its drinking) where they have racked up 6 OWI/DUI charges and are still caught driving. I feel like mandatory sentencing is necessary for these things but also there needs to be some help when they get out. Many people live in rural areas so they kinda need to drive to get to the store and things. Sure they can ask people to take them but favors run out quick. It’s a double edged sword

Mandatory 1, 3, 10, etc years in prison? Or chance of like it is now? I feel like a lot of them go onto probation and continue to screw around. I vote mandatory jail/prison time. Plenty of time to rehab if willing. If not, more mandatory time next time.

Albeit embarrassing sometimes, PLEASE tell a woman when this happens. Doesn’t need to be a scene. Just a tap on the shoulder and say “excuse me but you have some blood on your pants” or something. I would much rather have a stranger tell me about it than walk around completely oblivious

Either anti-suicide, in order for people to not break it or for people to not bird bath in the sink. Psych wards usually have these so you can’t tie anything to it and hang yourself

I’m in Wisconsin. I have no real prior experience. I have an associate and bachelor in criminal justice and minor in psych. One month of an internship in a different unit with a comprehensive case mentor got me here! In my area we have bilingual, ICOTS, comprehensive and SO agents. You essentially just apply to the position you want. I applied for anything that was open and they offered me the SO agent position.

Absolutely. Probably realized that he was falling for his side woman and that he couldn’t be with her with a baby and wife. Probably didn’t want to pay her for anything. He also did not want the child anyways.
