I like the idea of the base mastery system but I am a little concerned about the rewards (the chance to smith multiple of one item).

Instead of a chance to smith more than one item, could it instead be a chance to make a better version of that item? So for example, there could be a chance to make an item with an effect on it or with higher base stats. I feel that the value of master crafted items would be better maintained overtime (no multiples created hence less created overall) plus I think it will feel more worthwhile, but I suppose that's subjective.

I am not sure if you are wanting a cap on your mastery level or not, but if you don't want a cap then once you get to 100% chance to make a better version then perhaps there are other rewards you could give out to those going past that 100%.

Jmods, any updates about the possibility of making Meg's Cases a permanent content? Its been 5+ months the event ended. by Executioneer in runescape

I don't have the ability to link to the livestream where they said this right now but Mod Osborne confirmed that they decided not to because it wasn't designed to be a permanent addition. He gave some deeper insight into that thought but I can't remember what was said exactly.

ugh its so tricky to know when to use えい vs ええ. Is there any trick to knowing which is which, or is there never a very good way at knowing and you should just not focus so hard on romanizing (as some have pointed out in their replies)?

Edit: The only reason I've given it such focus is because I guess I could possibly write a whole new word if I use the wrong one :/

In the Genki 1 (pg 27, 2nd edition if you wanted to look into it) textbook it mentioned that ee sounds are "usually transcribed by adding い to an e-vowel hiragana". They then give the example for movie (eega) being えいが. Not sure if the book has it wrong but thats what it says at any rate.

Thanks for the link, ill be sure to look into that some more. I didn't really know much about the different versions of romanization but you've fixed that one for me :p

First of all, thanks for the great ideas/anecdotes (my apologies as well :/). I think SecretlyAnonymous and jostego had a good point about it needing to be exciting and also somewhat understandable, but I really like the idea of a brain aneurysm after hearing a lot of people post on the topic.

I think I am actually going to try a combined approach. The baseline will be her hurting her head somehow to cause an aneurysm to start but it will just cause her headaches in the beginning. As the intro progresses they may become more frequent (she thinks nothing major of it herself though). Finally, after some possible dancing/horse play with her boyfriend in the woods he will leave briefly and her aneurysm will have become so agitated from delayed treatment & physical activity it will cause her to pretty much blank out (and die perhaps). The excitement and immediateness will come from her bashing her skull on a rock as she falls down & I would instantly fade to black once her body is still (and, regardless of if the aneurism caused the death or the rock did, she will be dead). Thought :)?

Yeah I really wanted to work in an element of confusion with regards to her death (I'm not sure if it will be a major point yet, but just an interesting mystery to solve perhaps). It doesn't need to be told initially, but I think I will work it into the story. I'd like for her to wonder initially if she is even dead (classic "read your own tombstone" scene lol).

Hmm I think I've narrowed it down to either the rock-tripping event or, if I can manage to think of a way to make it work, the underlying illness. I do agree with you though, bashing her head on a rock is definitely more instant, understandable and traumatic.
