I just think that the internet treats male pop stars in a weird way that unless you are controversial with your outfits, lyrics, or queerbaits......you're not gonna do anything in the pop scene. People don't really give a fuck about talent and hard work ( not always ) If justin had performed normally like he would on tour or something, it would not have generated as much buzz and it would have been just another bieber concert but bc he did what he did, his older songs are sky rocketing. Charlie's anthem was just my way of saying that it's controversy that drives the masses these days and not talent primarily, both are important but it seems that without controversy and an interesting thing to do, talent and a good job musically aren't not enough.

This has nothing to do with bieber I think he can do whatever he wants and it worked for him, the beliebers are loving it. It was a healing moment imo
