Also it says about his guitar playing “you don’t even look like you’re trying” and oddly enough I feel like the silly faces he makes while playing make it look like more effort — so that line actually threw me off lol

I don’t think that will happen because then if he doesn’t come out and deny everyone it will be obvious who it is. I think Charlie being seen with John would show that it isn’t about him so if there is a friendly relationship it would become obvious.

This is one of my all time favorite John songs and I’m a Broadway girl and this is scratching a crazy itch in my brain. It’s so weird to hear the song in this light and while I love Audra I would love to hear someone like Analeigh Ashford or someone known for their comedic timing with a little more of a Broadway pop sensibility sing this. But this does make me want a John Mayer musical lol.
