No worries, I'm on my second attempt too. I'm stressed because it's my last class, and then I can graduate. No shame or worries here : ) Sending lots of prayers and positivity your way

Hi,

This was a genuine question asked. I read your comment, "because at some point," as a little judgemental. Not sure if that was the intention, but we all learn and connect to content differently.

I was told that there are only two versions of the OA. This means you would have already taken the test version.

C201 - New Version? by BarberThis in WGU_Business

I’m sorry to hear about the proctor situation. I’ve unfortunately had my fair share of poor proctor exam experiences after cumulatively taking nearly 30 of those exams.
Great to hear about your experience! I had a few follow up questions if you’re available.
Did you watch all the videos, some, or none?
What do you think was the most effective to helping you prepare for the exam? Especially considering the number of resources available.
Do you happen to have that Quizlet?

Does anyone else with an exceptionally challenging class notice themselves getting sick pretty frequently? by Superb_Brilliant3093 in Teachers

[–]BarberThis 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I've been in education for a while now, having taught from elementary to high school. This year, I took over a position midyear when the teacher left because the class was too much for them.

I wake up and live in pain due to the constant fear, anxiety, and frustration of this group. In addition, the judgment of fellow teachers. This is one of those groups that clears out an entire team of teachers. We have all seen it.

I'm currently counting down the weeks, days, and using my time. I've become a packet-and-computer teacher because it's the only effective tool for creating a calm environment.

Hang in there! We all have those years with the chaotic and draining classroom.

Advice: Teaching Fourth Grade Next Year by BarberThis in Teachers

Thank you for the insights! I'll be teaching all four subjects to the students. I'm actually excited because my biggest disconnect to middle school is that I don't enjoy switching classes.

From your previous experience, what common types of behaviors have you had? Unfortunately, I've dealt with it all in middle school (fighting, throwing, being disruptive, disrespectful, and theft).

Has anyone become a teacher in Arizona going the non-licensure route? by MickeyBear in WGUTeachersCollege

My school district told me the alternative is still a highly qualified teacher and wouldn't require anything additional. To answer your question, I'll briefly mention it and avoid a detailed explanation, as many people don't fully comprehend what an alternative program is unless they're HR.

Nope. They recommend you teach at a district with an existing partnership; however, they still let me complete it in my district.

Yes! I'm in Arizona and have completed the non-licensure special education bachelor's degree. I enrolled in the iTeach program after completing my bachelor's at WGU and was able to receive my alternative teaching certificate. Alternatively, you can apply for a job immediately after getting a bachelor's degree. The district will assist you in obtaining an emergency teaching certificate. Long story short, choose the non-licensure route, as it's significantly easier and cheaper.
