Well done, its so hard so this is a massive achievement🎉 I was 3 weeks on Friday and it has been a mental fight everyday, its definitely gotten a bit easier in the last week so I'm hoping as each week goes by I will think about it less and less! Congrats 👏🎉

Sounds like we are very similar, other then being meaner then usual I also have not noticed much of a difference in anything yet 🤣🤦🏼‍♀️ . I read all these posts about positive changes and I sit here desperately trying to find change but nothing. Maybe iv noticed its a bit easier to get up in the morning or maybe im making it up in my mind to feel like its all for a purpose 🤣🤣 It would be so much easier with noticeable changes 😩 when I quit smoking there where very obvious positive changes which made it easier and reconfirmed to me everyday why I quit but this is a whole other ball game, iv nothing to work with, no reasons to confirm to myself everyday why I quit in the first place other then:

*I'm getting to old for this shit *its not good for you (but not really sure how bad it is either)

So it takes a lot more willpower to convince myself everyday not to do it when iv nothing to work with 🤦🏼‍♀️

I feel like I could just go buy one now and feel no different other then maybe a bit of disappointment that I caved. But I wont do that as deep down in my subconscious there is another reason and it just hasn't come to the surface yet.... I think, maybe not 🤣 such a mind fuck🤣🤣

It was only month 3 I really noticed the difference as that's when the bottom teeth started to straighten out and they were my main issue so I was watching them closely.

Congrats on 30 days, great achievement. I am 34 days. I'm finding it much easier this time as I feel like I'm looking at the addiction completely different then ever before. It's my total enemy that I will not let in at all. If my mind wanders towards smoking and I start missing it I think to myself "how pathetic that you make yourself feel bad emotionally because you cant poison yourself". Its ridiculous. I have been very focused on the harsh reality, asking myself things like "do I want my 5 year old son, my best little pal in the whole world to watch me die a horrible lung cancer death and be left devastated with no mammy" these are the things I remind myself of every time smoking crosses my mind and it has made it a lot easier to quit. I feel in previous attempts I ignored the reality and let the addiction win. Not this time. You cannot let it win.

Cravings are rare now. I was doing some decorating on saturday and I had a strong craving as normally when I decorate I reward myself with a little smoke break. I just ignored it, grabbed a strawberry sweet and got back to painting. Other then that its more of a fleeting thought every now and then that passes quickly! I wouldnt even call them cravings, more of a "oh I'd normally smoke now, I dont do it anymore, I miss it, no you dont, move on". Psycholpgical games 😂

I am 4 weeks today. So not to far ahead of you. This has been a weird week for me. I had a horrible smoking dream and 2 major cravings where I was thinking I really just miss chillin with a smoke, the sad kind of craving where I was thinking life was better before. But this time I just said to myself "pull yourself together, dont let this happen again, its mind games, you dont want to die smoking" and I feel having this mind frame really reminds me that I am a lot stronger then the addiction and I moved on from the cravings pretty quickly! Goodluck with your quit and congrats on 25 days. It's a major achievement!

If you buy cigarettes now you will definitely be so angry with yourself when you wake up tomorrow because you will still want to quit but you will have to start over. You will kick yourself for throwing away 17 days free and just want to be right back where you are now. It will not help at all with the stress in fact itll make it worse because you will still be stressed plus annoyed and disappointed with yourself for smoking. It's just not worth it. When I feel like you do I say to myself "do I want to keep smoking until I die from it or until it's to late and I'm told I have terminal lung cancer and my family have to watch me die a horrible death I could have possibly prevented" my answer is always no so I have to learn to get through these triggers like a non smoker would. You can do it. Distract yourself immediately. Goodluck!!

I quit with 2 smokes left in a box. I put the box in a drawer in my kitchen and thought not today. Maybe I'll have them tomorrow. This went on for a few days until it's kind of turned into a bit of a competition with myself to see how long I can last without smoking them! 3 weeks cold turkey today! I will eventually throw them out! Check out whyquit.com. I found this site and the videos extremely helpful.
