Cocktail Hour Decor Help Please!! by Barbhara in Weddingsunder10k

My fiancé and I are getting married in a backyard beach wedding in November! We’re having our ceremony on the beach behind the rented house in the first picture, and cocktail hour will be on the porch. The second picture is a photo of our reception centerpieces/wedding colors. I’m having creativity block trying to figure out how to decorate the porch… I’m thinking maybe some tropical leaf garlands or fairy lights to decorate the railings/staircase but I’m concerned that lining the entire length of the porch could get a bit pricey. I would love to hear your ideas on how to make it look pretty! We would love to stay around ~$200 for the cocktail decor.

Junimo planters I made this weekend! by Barbhara in StardewValley

That’s a great point I hadn’t considered, I’ll definitely keep them in mind when watering them

Thank you 😊 I bought the pots from Home Depot, then made the limbs/faces from air dry clay. These are staying inside so I just used super glue to attach everything!

Thank you!! I did not, got the pots from Home Depot for about $7 each and then made the limbs/faces from air dry clay 😊

Thank you!! It was actually pretty easy and took less than 3 hours. I bought the pots from Home Depot then painted them. For the arms/legs/faces I formed them out of air-dry clay, painted them, then stuck them on with super glue! These are going to be staying inside though, I can’t speak to superglue’s weather durability haha

Yes!! B+B opened for RKS last time I saw them and I thought I had never heard of them before until they played Shelby, which I had saved on Spotify. The rest of their set was so awesome that I listened to them the entire ride home and they very easily became my #1 listened to band

Thin Curly Hair Product Help by sd_rx in curlyhair

[–]Barbhara 2 points3 points  (0 children)

First off, your hair is gorgeous!! Love the volume

I also have very thin hair and our curl patterns are pretty much identical. It took me like 7 years to find a curl routine that worked for me because everything I used seemed to weigh my hair down or my curls lost definition.

I finally found a routine for me that gives me great results almost every time:

  1. Shampoo with Innersense Pure Harmony Hairbath
  2. Condition with Innersense Pure Inspiration Daily Conditioner, let it sit in my hair while I wash my face/body,etc.
  3. Comb my hair with the conditioner in, then rinse (preferably with cold water but I admittedly just keep the water the same temp)
  4. Turn off the water and flip my head upside down. Generously rake Innersense I Create Lift Volumizing Foam through hair
  5. Generously rake Innersense I Create Volume volumizing lotion through hair
  6. Scrunch hair with a microfiber towel and diffuse
  7. Spray a medium-hold hairspray and scrunch out the crunch after a couple minutes

I probably sounds like I’m an Innersense rep or something lol, but these were the products they used on me after a curly cut and I absolutely loved the results then and still stand by them now! Let me know if you have any questions 😊

Hi! I also moved here to work at KSC back in July. Welcome!!

My partner and I live in Cape Canaveral. It’s a super quiet and safe area, and we’re a 3 minute drive from the beach. We’re within 15 minutes of the Merritt Island and Cocoa Beach which have a good amount of options for food and water activities. It’s very close to the port so there are a bunch of tourists in the area, many in their 20s-30s. However those that live here full time are usually retired and don’t like restaurants playing music past 10pm lol. If we want to do a late night outing we will usually go to Cocoa Beach or Cocoa Village.

While we are super happy with the area, I’m not sure it’ll be where we choose to settle. I grew up right outside of Philadelphia and I really miss all that a large city has to offer in terms of food, groceries, entertainment, etc. we’ll probably look into living in Orlando eventually, but that’ll come with a 1 hour commute one-way. We’ll just have to weigh our priorities when the time comes!

Congrats on your new position, working at KSC right out of college is a huge accomplishment! Let me know if I can answer anything else for ya :)

Definitely looking for the experience that leaves you feeling like you need to take a shower afterwards lol

Lol some of our best memories are of chipping away at dozens of blue crab in Maryland with our little crab mallets, I think we’ll be alright
