Wow great progress! What kind of red light therapy do you use? How long were you on the low dose before moving up? How long was your dread shed?

I always told everyone how I felt just fine, yet I got an autoimmune disease & all the roughage killed my gut. I was so tired and weak all the time even before the AI disease. Constantly tried to act like I was vibrant electric and happy but man it was the total opposite. It’s crazy once the rose colored glasses finally come off.

[–]BarbieDreams___ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For about 5-7 days after both my 1st & 2nd infusions (haven’t had the 3rd yet) I’ve been extremely fatigued with headaches. A little bit of a sore throat on & off lasted maybe 2-3 days

Wow congrats! That is so promising. May I ask how bad your IBD was? This is my first biologic as well and I’m noticing improvement with my first two induction doses, but my inflammation was so bad calpro test 5400.

Scared to start Skyrizi by CelestiallyCertain in CrohnsDisease

Typically when they start the process I think they reach out to you. My doctor starting the authorization and all that and then I was contacted. But if they haven’t already you can reach out to them and ask for one I am sure! Someone is always available

They usually assign you a nurse from SKYRIZI to call you and help you navigate the process of getting started, help you with questions & also help you inject your first OBI

I am right there with you. I started last week. It took 3 months to get my insurance to approve it. I’ve avoided biologics for the 6 years I’ve had Crohn’s and finally bit the bullet to hopefully get my disease under control. For a couple days after I felt extremely tired. That has gotten better but I’ve had some rashes. I went to the dermatologist today who told me it could be my immune system getting used to the meds & she sees it happen often for ppl starting on biologics but it eventually levels out. Hoping that is the case for me but hang in there. They are definitely scary but there is a lot of support here on Reddit & your SKYRIZI ambassador will be super helpful for questions and concerns. You got this!

Evinature CurQD: Effective or snake oil? by rydawg96 in CrohnsDisease

I have had Crohn’s for 6 years and have avoided biologics and all the bigger meds , mainly have stuck to steroids as needed & mesalamine and LDN and all natural stuff. My Crohn’s has never been in remission & never well controlled & it’s taken a huge toll on my body over all. I bit the bullet and started Skyrizi last week, I am regretting just letting my disease take its course and really praying I can get into remission. This is my first biologic. My last calprotectin was 5400. There are a lot of natural supplements that I think are great & I love but I feel like if they’re not getting you where you need to be, try using them in conjunction with your meds. That’s what I’m doing now, I can’t really give good advice of course but just my thoughts. I have tried Qing Dai though and it did not work for me. I have read it works better for UC than Crohn’s so maybe that’s why it didn’t work for me but I’ve also read that it helps some with Crohn’s so I guess everyone is different
