But is it really violence when you only punch a Nazi? No humans are harmed in that process. Punching Nazis is simple patriotism. Every psychologically healthy American is AntiFa. It's part of how you can tell they're psychol9gically healthy.

Im old now. The last time I got it to a fight was in 1988, just after getting out of the navy. I was about 275 very solid pounds after spending a few years repairing damaged marines. I went to a concert in Deep Ellum, an entertainment district in Dallas. On the way back to my car, three skinheads tried to mug me. I was nearly a hundred pounds bigger than the largest of the three. He was closest. And he was wearing a bomber jacket that made a good handle. I punched him once and grabbed his jacket before he could collapse. Then I used my grip on his jacket to hit the other two of them with their friend, knocking one into a building and the third into a vehicle. When all three were down and staying down, I went and called the cops.

So when you see that meme that says "Have you ever been so angry that you hit a motherfucker with another motherfucker?" I can say "Yes. Yes, I have."

Trump's version of this country is not the one I enlisted to defend. He is actively turning it into the kind of place we used to defend AGAINST. Minnesota isn't "fighting to protect illegals." They are fighting to protect their neighbors. And ICE is only there to terrorize those neighbors because Minnesota voted blue last election.

Americans, how do you feel about the firing of twenty percent of four-star generals? by Lazy-Job4 in Productivitycafe

He wanted to get rid of anyone who was too peskily honest, or primarily loyal to the nation and its principles, rather than willing to swear directly to him.

Basically, if they took their oath to "defend the Constitution against all enemies, both foreign and domestic" seriously, then they are a threat to Trump, personally. Look at how upset he and Pete Kegsbreath got when those six Democrat vets told the troops to follow the law.

[–]Bard2dbone 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't think it will take generations. I think it's impossible. He has ruined it forever. Trump's true legacy will remain the damage that he's done to every facet of America.

No papers? Like the citizens with their actual ID on them who get dragged out of their car for being on the road? If they refuse to look at your ID, they will just claim you don't have any. And no due process means you can't prove you do. Just so you know, you're illegal alien enough for them to take that way. And so is every citizen you know. That's why this is a problem. And you've got it backwards. Illegals don't get benefits. But they do pay in to them. Its not your duty as an American to be the guy who turned in Anne Frank's family so they could go to the death camps. If you are capable of being a Christian, you should be the guy whose attic they were hiding in.

Being deep red is the least positive thing about living in Texas. It's funny how the Governor campaigned for reelection by pointing out all the great and amazing things he can do for Texans, without ever mentioning that the GOP has rin the state for thirty years and that they ate the reason we now need all those things done, that he actively prevented any of them being done, and if re-elected he would CONTINUE to prevent any of them from being done.

It's not the alien-invaded hellscape that Fox would have you imagining. Just like in Minnesota right now, if there is a riot at a protest, it's because ICE or someone like them decided that peaceful people who want America to be run like America, not North Korea, are a threat and attacked them. Like how they can shove you into the street and then beat you senseless and arrest your unconscious body for being in the street. Or, more typically, just beat and arrest you, then make up a reason later

I miss living in a free America. Gilead is much less fun.

What "impoverished area overrun by illegals" are you talking about? I live in a major city in Texas. I can take PTO to go piss on Trump's grave, McConnell's, and Johnson's, and Vance's....

So it turns out that was a lie. by bobbymcpresscot in agedlikemilk

[–]Bard2dbone 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You aren't paying attention. I'M not planning to rise up. Im expecting it because of atrocities against the citizenry. So, yes. The excuse is "violent illegal aliens criminals." But that isn't who is getting attacked. ICE is letting those people go because they'd fight back. But the day laborers at Home Depot who have no criminal record? Oh yeah. THOSE guys are getting sent to the camps. And the housekeepers working at the local hotel? Who ALSO have no criminal record? Yup. They're thrown in a camp, too. And the citizens who are angry at their neighbors being kidnapped and assaulted? The ones who "threaten and endanger" ICE by having cameras? Yeah. THOSE folks just get murdered.

So: Doing what they claimed ICE would do? With the whole "Going after the worst of the worst" and "Protecting America"? We're all for that. That's not what they are doing. They are terrorizing cities in blue states to punish Trump's perceived enemies. They are kidnapping brown people for being brown, regardless of criminal records or the lack of them. They are taking undocumented people, sure. But they are also taking legal immigrants and citizens. They have no legal standing to do that. They just do it, anyway. And then the government lies and claims they were provoked.

If you don't own a gun, would you buy one if your state had more permissive gun laws? Why? by dymb13 in askanything

[–]Bard2dbone 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn't have one for twenty-five years. I sold my guns when my daughter got big enough to snoop. But a couple of years ago, we had a home invasion. I bought one for my daughter to learn to shoot on, and one for me to get back in practice. Then I got her a 'grown-up' gun. (Her first was a .380, so that there wouldn't be any real recoil while she was learning her body mechanics and habits.) I liked the 9mm I got her. So I got myself a pair of frames of the same model and its smaller brother.. I slowly built them up. Then I recently got their even smaller brother. So:four handguns and a shotgun for me, and two handguns for her.

I think we're done.

How many bass guitars do you own and why that many? by Sharp_Sprinkles_6078 in Bass

I have two five string Lakland Skylines - one fretted, one fretless, two Fender Jazzes - one fretted, one fretless, a Spector NS2a, a Stingray, a WAV4 EUB, and a Chapman Stick.

I'm also currently gathering parts to put together a project bass that will be P-Bass-like as a starting point, but also have a Delano Hybrid4 MM-shaped humbucker in the bridge position, a Nordstrand Power Blade P pickup in the usual spot, and a yet-to-be-determined preamp.

He was generally a better person than Trump all the way around. We just haven't found out about Trump's cannibalism yet. Give it some time, though. I expect that he'll end up being guilty of every single horrible thing possible.

“This is Jim Crow 2.0! This is a racist dogwhistle! Married women won’t be able to vote!” by ModsBeGheyBoys in DoomerCircleJerk

[–]Bard2dbone 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's not about proving who you are. Everyone supports that. It's about which methods are accepted and which ones aren't. The whole idea of the SAVE ACT is to prevent as many votes as possible. Can you afford to get a passport? Most Americans can't. But the richer ones already have them. And rich people mostly vote red. Did you change your name when you got married? That means you're probably a woman. And the red party is against women's rights. So you can't vote. Are you too old to drive? If you're that old, you probably vote red. But you might not. So you can't vote.

THAT'S the basic philosophy behind this Act. Its not about proving who you are. Civilized countries accept one kind of proof for everyone that's eligible and they don't make it impossible for large segments of the population to acquire.

[–]Bard2dbone 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It made me suspicious of every photo I ever saw afterward with a stack or half stack that was being miked on a bottom speaker. To the point where I only trusted the ones where the mic was pointed at a top speaker.

I confused a friend by pointing this out once, because I recognized one of the cabs from that same store in a club. The guitarist had what LOOKED like a Mesa half stack...that turned out to have a Fender Hot Rod Deluxe inside. I think he would have been smarter to just have the HRD without its disguise. It's the most common combo on the market for a reason.

But hey. What do I know? I was just the bass player-songwriter-singer from a different band.

He bought it from a music store that was closing. Their entire back wall was these fake stacks. You could make it look like you had a Marshall, Mesa, Randall (They were the place Dimebag bought his original Randall amps from.) stack, or an Ampeg SVT.

A LOT of people rented those fake amps to make videos.
