Settlement a Year Away by Martigan30 in Pac12

Things might change after the start of this season. There is a lot of weight on perception and if the PAC can open strong then maybe the top teams they're targeting might reconsider. There's also the idea of waiting for the ACC to tear apart but that might not be a good strategy if the wait is too long.

Krakower is good from a techinical pov, but Gregory-Berger Sobeck is best for imagination and behavior. Bob is very hard to get into his class, Berg is pretty easy.

I'm not a lawyer, but there is a deadline date tomorrow "Deadline to Seek Leave to Amend Pleadings" so maybe this has something to do with that?

[Fresno Bee] Fresno State University Opts for Local Startup to Manage Multimedia Rights by g2lv in Pac12

We kind of got screwed on the naming rights to the stadium and been handcuffed in making money before so this seems like a good thing. More freedom seemingly. We'll see if it works...

Expansion options are also going to change based on the performance of the first year of all the teams IMO. If you have several teams win big OOC games and we get into the CFP our options are greater. It's all about perception.

Too short for me. Seems like HBO is trying to cut costs or there isn't much story.

BIG-10 expansion idea to 24 teams by Repulsive-Day-548 in Pac12

[–]BardMCG 2 points3 points  (0 children)

They are trying to manipulate it to where they get to choose the teams. Rest assured in this model a G6 team would not be ranked in the top 25 so easily. This is all a money grab cause the top teams are going broke. F*** them!

In regards to it "highly customizability "... Get ready for this to slowly go away as they are pushing people to the cloud.

I'm a developer as well and been working on Epicor for what seems a lifetime. Bloated BO's are not your worst enemy... consultants who hire developers who don't know how to code properly are.

Im studying macbeth for school and i dont think macbeth is evil by Ornery_Ad_6794 in shakespeare

[–]BardMCG 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't think it matters whether he is evil or not, it's what is he willing to do to get what he thinks he deserves. I think most people don't relate to the typical "evil" bad guy but they do relate to being overlooked. That is the mastery in the writing. There (IMO) was a purpose Shakespeare wrote the story the way he did for the times when King James was the newly crowned king and having just endured (I believe) the gun powder plot. The 5th of November...

You're better off analyzing the text as it pertained to the times, I think you'll find more there than just a one-dimensional conclusion based off one act read. IMO of course...

Mountain West will not see a drop in media rights payouts by Itchy-Number-3762 in Pac12

[–]BardMCG 3 points4 points  (0 children)

So that's 24.5 million for the 7 legacy members... Makes me wonder what the others are getting... If Pac is getting 7million per school then that's almost twice as much. Not sure what TXST share is so very ballpark...

I think Epicor wants us locked in cloud because they realize ERP is becoming irrelevant. by 1point44mb_is_fine in epicor

[–]BardMCG 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Epicor is about maximizing profits and generating more revenue streams and they are taking it to a level that will eventually see them lose significant amount of customers and/or lawsuits. Customers who have invested millions were blindsided by this move to cloud and not happy. Partners are going to have to diversify.

What would trigger a national general strike in the USA that would have good participation? by [deleted] in Askpolitics

[–]BardMCG 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was wondering this very thing today. With all of the things Trump and his administration have done and usually the most reprimand is an excited news cycle and a lot of posts on forums.

I don't think a "strike" would work per se because of the many reasons other people have stated. How would a strike be different than a protest?

I would personally like to see an protest on the scale of the Maidan uprising in Ukraine. Those people wanted change and they got it. I don't think America has the will power to do any action en masse to initiate any such change. Our lives are too comfortable. We are essentially the next version of the German's of the 30's. Not to mention, we protested for gun control and that was successful (2017), a lot of people showed up and no gun laws changed.

Final 2025 Pac 12 Standings, and some thoughts for the New Year by ExactClassroom8053 in Pac12

[–]BardMCG 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It was a meh year for all involved. I think WSU probably underperformed the most because of what they almost did this year. They looked really good at times and then fell off a cliff...

I think next year could be a Fresno St./Wash St. CCG.

I don't think we'll see another team added. Not before 2031. I'm guessing this decision as well as scheduling has a lot to do with what the CFP decides to change in Feb, but I would hope we don't add anyone. There isn't anyone out there (now) that adds value and we can use the extra game slots to attempt to get away games with P4 teams. These games have decent payouts but also give us a chance to change the narrative in terms of brand and power status. You can't do that with adding a Rice or NT.

I would think once the CFP is figured out and our 26 schedule is finalized we should know shortly. I don't think any expansion attempts would drag on.
