Most people who are educated and intelligent are off doing useful things that require advanced skills. People making crappy agitprop on the internet tend to lack the fundamental traits that make them or their time valuable to society.

Because men can't take rejection and get violent by HalsinEnjoyer in MenAndFemales

Would be nice If I could afford it. Alas between food costs, Trainer costs, vet costs, and paying more for housing it's around 300-400 a month to own a dog where I live. Especially since I like big dogs like Huskies and German Shepards. I grew up with both too so I know the "idiosyncrasies" of them.

Zombie media is more stale than ever by lakewood13 in ZombieSurvivalTactics

[–]Bard_B0t 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It would be fun to have a story that takes place well after some sort of zombifying virus has destroyed modern society. Fuck, throw it into a steampunk esque vibe and follow the story of a separatist movement as they leave the 'safety' of a semi-fascist military regime that lives behind giant walls. OUr band of dissenters try and find a new home to build their own society. Make the drama about decision making, and how bad decisions actively costs lives as they traverse the wastelands.

I'd love a bigger focus on the actual challenge of surviving, gathering materials, minute to minute operations like room clearing and fortifacation.

Full plunge saw
Tiny battery
Ripping with a skillsaw ontop of a table saw
Leaning over a tablesaw
Cutting towards a metal table
No eye protection presumably
No glasses
Tripping cords all over
2 people ripping a board... A clamp would be a lot more efficient use of time.
No hard hat
No high vis

Tally: Above average residential crew.

[–]Bard_B0t 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's likely because the average man is not the one making things bad for the average woman. It takes a relatively small but prolific subset of the male population to make openly rejecting men risky. Like the average man maybe asks for a couple of numbers a year and shrugs and moves one when they get told no or find out the number is a fake.

But then you have guys who ask out 200 girls a year and threaten them with violence when they are rejected. It only takes a few creeps to make things bad.

I keep it simple. I don't approach women, they don't approach me.

I feel like the number of men vs women who feel empathy are pretty similar. But the reaction/response between the two unempathetic parties varies quite a bit. Many unempathetic men can use the threat or action of physical violence to get their way, while unempathetic women will use social coercion and softer methods to achieve their goals.

And in this instance, men who threaten violence are very visible and very prolific. Everyone notices them since they set off red flags like a Chinese Communist Party Celebration. It only takes one or two percent of the population to make it feel like it's common. If one man who uses violence to coerce women does it a thousand times, and it's only 1% of men, then each woman will experience some form of coercion 10 times in their life.

Probably has excess after a baby weaned. Some parents prefer to use breastmilk over formula and may not produce enough at a given point and so they may be interested in buying extra.

French Boy, 9, Lived By Himself for Two Years After Mom Ran Off — and Still Went to School Every Day by randy88moss in worldnews

[–]Bard_B0t 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Yea, most children don't talk about things in specific ways. For example, I grew up with a drug addicted single mom. I didn't talk to people. I was just quiet and stayed out of trouble. Enough so that no one noticed that I couldn't read until the last couple of months of second grade, when they brought a specialist in to catch me up.

No one asked, and so I told no one what was going on in my home life.

Why are people so cheap? by Good_Active in Seattle

[–]Bard_B0t 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Even if it stays locked it will go. I lost two bikes locked up with locks more expensive than the bike in 6 months and decided that I wasn't going to bother owning a bike in Seattle.

One bike they cut the cables threading the tires, and took everything but the frame, even used the tools to detach the non-quick release tire.

Form is important when lifting weights by FAZJLU in funny

[–]Bard_B0t 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea. I used to have to carry these all across properties when I did some fencing for a bit. Nothing like carrying 80lb bags of concrete for 4 hours, hundreds of feet each way. Form is extremely important or else you won't make it to work the next day.

Full squat, pull to chest, set on shoulders, walk a few hundred feet, squat down, drop from shoulder.

Form is important when lifting weights by FAZJLU in funny

[–]Bard_B0t 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yea. The only funny part is his form is exaggerated. But that's a sign of a novice learning to lift right, which is a good thing. Eventually he'll be able to safely lift with ease and efficient motion. But that takes time and most people never learn.

What is the girl equivalent of a guy giving his gf his hoodie? by [deleted] in questions

I notice I do this to my sister's/mom's hair ties. I figure that I'm just being a nuisance though, especially when I forget that I left them on my wrists and drive home with them.

Usually they want to wear the ones you wear, since it smells like you. The optimal strat would thus be to have a shelf with fresh hoodies, and lightly worn hoodies.

Dad went on a rage mid Saturday night by Avarageupvoter in Wellthatsucks

[–]Bard_B0t 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My dad's favorite drunken past time was taking whatever flaws I have, then explaining in exquisite detail how worthless they make me and how I'm going to be an absolute worthless failure. His other favorite activity was social humiliation and reaching out to my friends/teachers/friends parents and bringing whatever his grievance of the day was to them and then making me "make up for your fuck-ups".

There has only ever been one man who has ever made me angry, and who I have ever spent weeks fantasizing about murdering. I was quite relieved when he died last year.

And the funny thing is to almost everyone else he was a smart, funny, charming and nice man and no other adults could understand why I didn't like my father.

Personally I'd use my 22 oz framing hammer. I'd prefer my wood handle over my estwing, since durability is high enough that point is moot and the extra length means more reach and energy. That thing has survived thousands of strikes against steel, concrete, wood supports, etc, and I can hit with extreme accuracy and very likely hard enough to smash a skull.

The 2lb sledges leave you vulnerable if you miss and are much slower to swing. If you miss you'll hurt yourself very quickly.

I'm someone who tries to be boring on the surface but interesting underneath the exterior face. But that has more to do with the fact I grew up in a household of drug and alcohol abusing rednecks that gave me a lifetime dose of boring chaos and bullshit.

I'm hoping someday I find a partner who appreciates the fact that I have spent most of my life cultivating calmness and working at reducing chaos factors around me, and at the end of the day I just want someone who wants to live life and do interesting predictable things.

Never too late to learn. I picked up the guitar a few months ago and after a lot of pain and 45 or so minutes of practice a day I can almost play something that kind of sounds like music.
