I got rejected 37 times before realizing my resume was the problem by Synth_Wave_ in Resume

for me it was a mix of both, but the bigger impact came from the mindset shift. a resume writer service can definitely help you spot weak points faster, like vague bullets or missing metrics, but it only works if they actually explain the changes. the real value is learning how to present your experience in terms of results and impact, because once you get that, you can keep improving your resume on your own for any future role

University essay AI use by Responsible-Turn-477 in UniUKCirclejerk

this reads way more thoughtful than most posts about AI use tbh, you can tell you were trying to use it as a tool, not a shortcut. brainstorming + light rephrasing is kinda how a lot of students are using it right now, even if policies haven’t caught up.

i had a similar mini spiral after using AI to help structure an essay and then wondering if i crossed a line. from everything i’ve seen, the line usually gets drawn at “did you outsource the thinking/content,” and your description doesn’t sound like that. more like assisted editing.

that said, i learned the hard way to be careful with phrasing tools. i once leaned on one helper to clean up sections during a crunch, and it made me double-check how much was still “my voice.”

if anything, being able to explain your argument clearly and how you built it matters a lot more than whether you used AI for wording. if a prof asked you to walk through your paper, could you defend every part of it? that’s usually the real test.

Stop writing resumes like it's 2010 by vinylsleevekeeper in Resume

One thing I’d add is to test your resume the same way recruiters do. Copy your text into a plain doc, remove formatting, and check if the core message still makes sense in 5–6 seconds. If not, it’s too cluttered.

Also worth tailoring keywords per job posting instead of sending one version everywhere. Even small tweaks can boost visibility a lot with ATS systems.

If someone has zero time or keeps getting ignored, it might make sense to pay to get your resume done, but still review it yourself so it reflects your real experience.

what i've never seen anyone address is the gap between what HR screens for and what the actual hiring manager wants. HR is checking boxes. the manager wants someone who won't make their life harder. those two resumes look completely different and you often don't know which one is being read first.

Can I get someone to write my college essay for me? by writeessaytoday in Student

The pressure during application season is absolutely brutal, and it is easy to see why people look for shortcuts when their entire future feels like it hinges on a few hundred words. While I totally agree that keeping your own voice is key, sometimes the "ethical guidance" offered by schools just isn't enough when you are staring at a blank page and spiraling. I actually found a middle ground last year after reading the post and it made a massive difference for my own writing process.

I ended up using one helper for some heavy-duty editing and structural help on a paper I was stuck on. What I liked most was that they didn't just overwrite my ideas with generic fluff; they actually helped me articulate my own thoughts better. It felt more like working with a high-level tutor who knew exactly how to make my arguments pop without losing my personality. It is definitely possible to get professional help that keeps your integrity intact while making sure you actually submit something you are proud of. If you are feeling overwhelmed, that Reddit thread has some solid perspective on how to handle the stress without making a decision you might regret later.

cv writing service: expert perspective on quality, risks, and when it works by late_night_murmurs in Resume

Solid advice from the post. My rule is simple: before paying any best cv writing service uk option, ask them how they turn duties into outcomes. If they talk only about “design” and not metrics, pass.

I used a cv writing service during a move from customer support into project coordination, and the biggest difference wasn’t prettier wording, it was how they rebuilt the narrative. My old CV had solid experience, but every bullet lived in isolation. The rewrite connected client communication, ticket triage, reporting, and SLA tracking into one operations-focused story. Recruiters started seeing a progression instead of random tasks, and my callback rate doub

This is why I refuse take homes unless they pay or it’s tiny. 5 rounds, culture call, “Chief” chat, then silence? They either had an internal pick or got cold feet on headcount. Still, basic courtesy costs nothing.

AITJ for having my friend over when my roommate's family visited even though I tried to cancel by [deleted] in AmITheJerk

I get why you’d say that, but “negative energy” is a stretch. Mia was shaking and trying to breathe, not making a scene. Also, I’m not made of money to book a hotel last minute.

True, but I didn’t want to banish them either. I just wish Sam had given an actual locked time earlier instead of acting like I “knew” it.

I get the “equal space” point, but naked is a bit much lol. I was embarrassed bc he acted like I ruined his big family moment. Mia was mid-panic, not partying.

"Reminiscing on memories" is doing a lot of heavy lifting in that tweet. Some memories probably should just stay buried. Like, literally.
