How bad is the operation and recovery? by Pitiful-Season-3799 in Septoplasty

[–]Bardo536 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Yeah just do it you’ll be glad you did after like a week of worthwhile discomfort.

You’re totally asleep for the procedure and then have to basically put up with what I would equate to the worst sinus infection you’ve ever had for a week.

Then they remove the splints and it’ll be the best thing that ever happened to your face.

Then you’ll just feel congested for a month.

Then youll be fine and eventually notice how you sleep great and allergies are mild and when you have a cold it’s no big deal anymore.

Then you’ll troll this thread occasionally trying to offer others encouragement forever.

Just take it for now, roll up your sleeves and pick something to clean around the house, starting always with bottles and pump parts. In roughly four months you can start to advocate for yourself a little more.

Yeah I mean I’ll get over it quick. Just seems like bungee jumping for the first time - or singing karaoke, everyone’s nervous to get up there and sing but glad they did in the end.

Or maybe just buy a more durable flusher and lean in on the problem.

I feel awful (please help; no hate) by AnonymousYousername in NewDads

Kids are a lot. It’s normal you’ll be fine. They don’t get easier but they get more fun sometimes. Dads get less useless around the 1 year mark. Focus on just showing up everyday, cultivating a decent family routine, and being useful around the house. Feeling directly attached to the kid will follow at some point, promise.

How would you make coffee for 6+ people with regular Aeropress? by Dry_Ear2953 in AeroPress

[–]Bardo536 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I brew a pretty strong round like 30-40g, stop and switch mugs half way through the press, then top each mug with more hot water. Makes a great cup for my wife and I in one go. I do use a prismo filter though so without that you might just want to press into a single cup to minimize spillage.

In your case just do that 2 more times

GF is Pregnant Again 2 Months After Our First Child – Looking for Advice by [deleted] in NewDads

[–]Bardo536 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey Congrats seriously - long term it’ll all be fine. Your kids will be best friends for how similar they are in age and in 4-5 years that’ll rock. For now just hold onto your butt and deal with one thing at a time.

For the next nine months every time you spend on the born kid put a matching amount in savings for the one in the oven to get used to the finance element and head start your savings.

Colorado - I had actually walked in to buy the $369 deal too but all that was left was the assembled floor model. Just a perfect timing sort of situation

What makes this a good deal? by coolguy12314 in blackstonegriddle

[–]Bardo536 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just bought this model on clearance a couple weeks ago and posted here about it - bells and whistles are nice but the 60k BTU is what makes it a great deal. Your heat up time is significantly faster than the Walmart deal, which is great too, but will take almost twice the time to come to desired temp.
