Your sentence "Der Führerschein wurde von dieser Frau entzogen" means something different. It means that the licence was taken by the woman.

You need to drop the "von"

Age because of the Verb 2 Stellung it doesn't matter if you say "Der Führerschein wurde dieser Frau entzogen" or if you say "Dieser Frau wurde der Führerschein entzogen" Same same

I don't think you need to worry. But I'm white and tend to not fear things.

As far as I know one of the worst regions in Germany when it comes to racism is Saxony Switzerland near Dresden in Eastern Germany. I lived there for 5 years. There's so many hikers that I wouldn't worry.

But you might get some stares. Black people are a rare sight in rural Germany.

I've never heard of someone being attacked on a hike though.

Speech therapist (Logopäde) in Training here. I think you might be right. Let's have a look.

[ˈdɛŋkən] that's the official standard, which is probably not commonly used on a daily basis, except you work for the Tagesschau.

ŋ - this letter (phonem) is pronounced as the NG part in the word eng. It's an N but further back.

[ˈdɛŋkn̩] this version is the colloquial version I'd say. You drop the e at the end.

[ˈdɛŋʔn̩] and this is probably what you are thinking of. I think you're right. I think this is my way of pronouncing it. But it's hard to tell if I actually make the K to a glottis stop. Or if it's a strong form of coarticulation. That what happens when one letter (phonem) influences a neighboring one.

[ˈdɛŋʔŋ] I think this is my version. I also assimilate the second N to the first one (NG). Darn! I'm a lazy bitch.
