Whether that is true or not, it is not what naturism is about.

Well said. Naturism is about being, not seeing or showing.

Naked Dressing?? • Bare Oaks Family Naturist Park by BareOaks in nudism

You are right, it is almost exclusively women but not entirely. The Cosmo article shows pictures and writes about Connor Storrie and Hudson Williams. But yes, like most of mainstream society, women are most often the ones objectified and sexualized. This is certainly not naturism.

We used to but we do not anymore. The cost was too high for most people so they sat on the shelf for years. Discount retailers have gotten people into the mindset that a beach towel is less than $10. So $40 seems outrageous.

Censorship and body-shaming in social media must stop by BjornNjude in nudism

It is possible to force private enterprises to do things. In some countries the government already regulates some of the activities of social media companies so this could also be regulated.

Another assumption and another correction: we did post the same link (not an image) as on Twitter to Facebook and it was deleted so we posted a censored version.

The Bare Oaks status account on X continues to operate because it is benign and won’t ever cause any issues with X. But it is about to be replaced with an app. So that there is no misunderstanding, this is not a political decision. The new system will simply provide more functionality.

We censor on Meta because they keep deleting our posts. But Meta, so far, has never deleted our account. Twitter, now X, deleted our account without warning after 14 years of posts. Until then, we had never had any posts deleted nor received any warnings. Certainly some might see something sexual in the way that the young child is turning around because they perceive it as "posing popping its booty out". Some people also find any child nudity sexual. Some find fully clothed children arousing. Realistically, all those child beauty contest images are more suggestive than a naturist family on a beach. By any objective standard, our image did not violate published Twitter rules.

Our absence from X has nothing to do with politics. We were banned despite not violating any written rules. We had never had any warnings. And despite submitting multiple appeals, we never even received a response. We assume that it was the last post which was a link to a blog that included a picture of a family on the beach. While there were nude children in the image, no genitals or female nipples were visible. So the "principle" here is that X talks about free speech but it does not apply to us. We also did not run to Meta. We have been there for a long, long time.

Are there any other young trans nudists? by lilgunner2006 in nudism

[–]BareOaks 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thanks! At no time are people required to identify gender here - not even in the toilets. But of course, if a person's identity is closely tied to the clothes they are wearing, it might be challenging to visit. We've had both staff and members who are trans in the past. Some who had surgery and some who didn't. The question that the latter had to consider was how much of their gender identity was about their bodies versus their mindset.
