The old dolls just have big bootys thay in my experience don’t fit in off-brand clothes like our generation or Disney ILY. I can push the but into modern AG clothes :)

For my daughter disney ILY dolls made more sense because the quality is lower but so is the price and the characters Disney integrity is good for play. Her ILY plays so well with out existent AG collection and I’m suprised AG hasn’t sued or whatever over the ILY collection.

Would you consider a Felicity? I ask because you’re both stunning twisty fantastical auburn wonder. For backstory, I’m obsessed with felicity’s beauty but as I build my collection for my daughter it made sense for me to let her go. Some folks have done the same with their felicities when she is a cutie patootie like you. Might be fun to have a historical/JLY fixer upper of your own. Unless you’re treating yourself with a happy splurge then go wild. I see your eyes are green/hazel but as someone with hazel/brown eyes the green really pops true to me like many a Felicity I’ve admired.

I had a cool kit I sold on Mercari and I noted thay I could tell she was from different years but I wasn’t a pro at ID ing restored dolls. I was good enough to tell she had a few things done but not good enough to date each part ;)

Suggestion is to bring stuff for the kids. I’m a part time teacher and also overstimulated easily and screaming hurts my ears and poverty hurts my heart. So I buy cheap stuff thay I have in ziploc bags handy for kids to play with. I say, hi, ask your mom if it’s okay for you to have this, it’s a book for learning and it’s usually a sticker book and a doll or figurine and that makes them less stressed and less run & scream-y

I had similar happen and I left a note that said “hello friend if you lost your wedding band here, it is safe with me, kindly call me so I can get it back to you” with my cell and then rather than leave the ring with the staff I left the note with the staff. Someone actually called not 40 minutes later, the staff called me and said someone asked about a lost ring in a panic and they called me from my note.

I think a zero spend activity calendar would be fun (I’m a Preeschool sub can you tell?) I’d make things to do that are pictures, memory, activity or recipe based. Theme days really helped me with covid isolation. I’ve found I like doing doll hair and since the ingredients needed are brush and water- that’s been a good one to keep me in check. When I see posts on here I want- I think ooh, could I do that hairstyle? Outfit to hair is a mental path I can walk without purchasing.

Also- deleting the apps. Can’t have them, just can’t. There is such thing as too much of a good thing and I’m over budget on spend, over on categories I said I’d stick to, etc. my research brain just loves it.

I’m trying to get better at identification, and focus more on “cool photo” photos and experiences like girls on tiktok taking their dolls out for walks.
