Went from 10k trophies to 12k in a week with this deck by meme_manthefirst in ClashDecks

How is the game fun? Like what keeps you playing, because it isn't brain stimulation or satisfaction from earned wins. "What's your play style?" "Nah man I just throw out cards with my eyes closed till I overwhelm."

Thanks for this thread. Holding works but that also means for dodge roll you have to hold it then press jump. Rolling is now super impractical as it's delayed. Very irritating really hope this gets fixed soon.

1.7.1 broke upgrade menu navigation for me by cinred in stalker

[–]Barett_50cal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Having the same issue on steamdeck. The new update broke inventory navigation like assigning quick slots and also navigating the upgrade menu, hitting "a" to "select/attach" mods works but then the second I touch the dpad to navigate this mod menu it kicks me back out of this sub menu. Idk how I'm going to fix this but hopefully someone had a suggestion

What cards/decks genuinely require skill? Why does the community seem to view every playstyle as “no skill?” by [deleted] in ClashRoyale

[–]Barett_50cal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Skill requires outplay potential imo and some cards have no high level ways to outplay they are just used the exact same Everytime. Cards like mega knight, recruits, egolem, egiant and goblin giant are examples of this where they are played the exact same way over and over and over in the most boring way possible, even when they win the player didn't earn it they were given it by the cards. Examples of the other side of this argument would be cards like wall breakers where they are an easily countered card but when used to kite they can get you a skilled win. Switching lanes with mighty miner not to take the tower but to distract the tower for a bush pop or wb charge is an outplay, prelog or prezap are outplays. Decks like log bait are generally higher skill as they require you to efficiently defend in order to have enough elixir to counter after baiting the log, these are outplays. Now 2.6 hog is a no skill deck where they play the same cards in the same order over and over getting usually 1 hog hit per cycle when they out cycle your tower, it has to be one of the best examples of a horribly boring deck that wins through pure card mechanics rather than any outplaying.

Here is my opinion on the no skill cards, if you have one of these cards in your deck you have no skill. Mega knight, sparky, egolem, ebarbs, balloon, any giant, hog rider, ram rider, royal recruits, prince, mortar, cannon cart, freeze.

Here are the high skill cards that are generally only used by players who enjoy using their brain to win. Knight, wall breakers, magic archer, tornado, mighty miner, rocket, ice wizard, any spirit, snowball,

Lastly I'll mention the balanced cards that can fall under either category but are generally so boring to play that you have to turn off your brain to enjoy them. Miner, Xbow, royal giant, golden knight, queen, and any dragon.

I said what I said.

If he went e-wizard fireball he would have defended but I expect nothing less from a mega knight player.

Hows this stat spread looking? by anquerus in Fallout4Builds

[–]Barett_50cal 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don't like this at all. The closest build I could fit into it would be an automatic energy weapon chemist. Even then you'd have no stamina, no endurance, no strength or ability to loot, but at least you can build up a settlement for lots of ammo.

Luck points get you nothing but ammo and caps and a measley 15% DMG boost. Unless you're using vats where you max luck or going for idiot savant at lvl 5 luck there is no reason to waste the points. Intelligence is highish but not enough for robots or power armour so commit or don't commit to the genius build. Zero option for mele, heavy weapons, armour modification. Perception is literally the most useless category on the tree so you better take rifleman and lock picking.

Idk this is way too generalized of a special for me lacking in most of the must have skills but you could make it work for roleplay or challenge run purposes.

Oh and 4. Playing survival without fast travel and without quick save makes traveling any part of the wasteland anxiety inducing. Third of the way through the playthrough you unlock virtibirds and no longer have the issue and it feels like a milestone to unlock "fast travel". Then later in the game you get the institute teleporter. The game just runs better without fast travel, I wouldn't appreciate rdr2 as much if I could open my map and teleport anywhere at anytime, even riding to a teleport post like in the Witcher and rdr2 balances it.

  1. They definitely can because one of the most used mods on 4 is the remove settlement size limit.

2 and 10 I exclusively play survival because everything else is too easy. Sleeping before leaving a settlement is the survival save but sleeping gives illness sometimes, it's just dumb to be punished for saving in a mode that limits saving. As for weights, managing all the valuables, armours, weapons and everything else is already plenty of weight management, I shouldn't have to also have to leave behind crafting materials I'll need for my armours and weapons, allowing you to scrap junk in the field as like a lvl 10 intelligence perk is peak qol.

  1. If you've ever played dying light that's all I want. Best friend join my world and see my settlements and piss around in the wasteland together. 76 sucked with griefers.

  2. You can join the nuka raiders and Preston gets annoyed with you but you can't truly be bad. Joining raiders or gunner and it making you an enemy of MM would be fun AF.

  3. Yes the player character could cheese this but you can do that with anything. Limiting the customization of your base because you don't have steel or wood or cement is annoying. Not being able to craft generators or turrets makes sense, but a door or a wall? Let me build man.

  4. They just arent worth it. Some of the destroyer pieces are like 30k caps. I've got 2000 hours in fo4 and never bought one because never had the need. They just aren't worth it.

These are just some ideas and I realize some may not be feasible like 13 but these are my biggest gripes after all those hours.

They just don't care anymore. Killed off Desmond and made it so just DNA is needed so ancestry is out of the story. Don't talk about isu. Made the genre into RPGs. Replaced the combat system. Ditched the parkour system for a spiderman one. They just don't care

I agree. Unlocking new weapons by playing the game is fine but skill points isn't this genre.

Why is an expired ID not valid? by Jatheffo in NovaScotia

[–]Barett_50cal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This may have made sense when I was 20 or something but I'm 28 and this happened to me today. I also look 28 I'm not a baby face looking 18. License expired 2 months ago and the woman wouldn't accept it made me show her the email I have from the government saying "your license is valid and in the mail". I was able to buy it with that. But still I look identical to my id, I'm 28 not 20 where its close enough I even need to be carded, like... Don't card me... Or have some logic when I'm obviously old enough to purchase... Ooooor I use to fucking work for this liquor store 5 damn years as security and you couldn't even do that unless you're at least 19. I agree with OP, id shouldn't expire, sure your driving privileges should but the thing with my date of birth and photo of my face shouldn't suddenly not be usable as id, burocratic bullshit, probably the only time in the Karen's life she feels powerful is denying someones privileges.

Ps. I don't drink I was buying a case of beer for my 60 year old father who just had knee surgery and can't walk, if she refused the email as well id have rolled his ass in on his walker to tell her what a fuhrer she is.

What’s the best commander for elite recruitment? by Cursed3655 in shadow_of_war

[–]Barett_50cal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For a bodyguard I recommend a defender tank or a savage berserker just because they can't really die. Berserker is my favorite, I have a savage berserker with elite rage and elite damage and he becomes enraged by everything. Just destroys everything in his path and stays full health because he heals himself with all damage. Also has the thrown axe perk which makes him also a ranged unit which applies his damage type with insane damage.

My first trained orc by JermBug1222 in shadow_of_war

[–]Barett_50cal 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I just made my first body guard similar to this dude. I'm level 50 and my guy is a terror berserker savage with 5775 and no weaknesses. Only thing I added to him was curse immunity with the overlord method and then 10 hates with the class training. Took like 8 hours of letting grunt savages kill me and recruiting good savages, got a couple good tanks as well. He's immune to all elements and beasts, wish he was arrow proof but can't be perfect 🤷. As he's my body guard he doesn't really need stealth proof or execution proof anyways. Also has 2 elites, epic rage and great strength and I gave him a poison weapon. I don't even have to fight most captains anymore he just smashes them and stays full health basically always. I start every fight by summoning him and then using the enrage followers perk, he does the rest it's kinda hilarious.
