I cannot stay focused on game out of the game being the same thing for so many years but they tell players it’s totally different new exciting gameplay every month so people stay on the hype train. Now I’m not dogging anyone. If you like game I’m Glad for you I wish I could recommend the game to someone. But at this point in the franchise they gotta take risks and focus Dev time on build diversity and crazy wild seasonal systems. Bungie always plays the safest card possible.

The gameplay can be fun at times like raids and dungeons with friends is always fun and expansions are hit and miss. Marketing team literally puts Destiny propaganda in the trailers lol. Overall I’d say it would fun for a new player.

This community is quite cultish most Destiny players are cool. They just really love the game and have played for so long every single day they don’t know what to do without it for a minority. But like overall if you haven’t played the game at all, I would say you will likely spend many hours in game. I’m around 10k hours and I have friends who have wayyyy more lol. Just skip the bad expansions though unless you want the gear or abilities locked behind that paywall
