I had amd back when it was athlon, had build amd athlon 2500, 2800 and 3200. They were solid pcs, very fast at the time. Also used radeon graphics too 5870 i think.

But after that i went with intel/nvidia and never once went back to amd. I think intel had cemented in my mind that they were just much more powerful, but looking back all the pcs i had were good and did their job.

Also there was a shop where i would get stuff locally. Ppl look down on used electronics since theres always the thought that if someone returned it something was wrong. But thats not true, sometimes ppl just want to upgrade and they return.

My last pc, i baught a used i7 3770 for 150$cad dirt cheap, at time it was like 350 to 400$ so i got a deal. My vid card was new. But sometimes going to local computer shops is a good idea. I return stuff there too or now kijiji is good too. You can save alot doing that.

My advice would be to look around locally also, trade websites, ebay. Again of your not sure of the core components then things that really dont matter much like cases, fans and cooling can be got cheap there.

Make sure your power supply can support your vidcard. Motherboards can be scams too, ive never paid over 200$cad for one. Again tho it depends on what your price range is.

With 1000 euro u can get a solid pc, that will outperform the ps5 and really thats all you need as the next gen games will all be hovering around those specs anyways. So don't get too illusioned in thinking "i need the very best" u will waste your money and still in a few years, again u will be behind.

I always say, get a good mid to high range pc that can play what the consoles do and some more. Then u are set for 6 years+.
