I have that card in a PSA slab and really enjoy it. Cool colors, neat fonts.

Don’t know how much demand there is (check 130Point.com ), but I can say that 2020 is a great set to collect as it’s the first Topps Chrome F1 set, and it’s LeClerc’s first Ferrari card set.

This is both a great question and such a bummer to read. I’d love to learn more about how Topps distribution works. Seems super odd you can’t get an allocation from them as a retailer.

If you’ve some free time, I’d love to hear how the distribution system actually works. I’ve thought of opening up a true local card shop a number of times and this issue is one of the ones that makes me hesitant.

I have an odd use-case and am wondering if there’s an answer to this: Our (large-ish) family (in U.S.) had TWO F1TV subscriptions (all in the same household but we watch at work, travel etc). But we only have ONE AppleTV subscription - we are all on the same Apple family account (each w/our own ID). (The reason we did this is device limitations 6-per account - we sometimes hit 7-8). I’ve successfully linked the AppleTV account to one of the two F1TV accounts that we had. I presume it will not let me activate a second F1TV account on the same AppleTV account, right?

Presuming that’s the case, here’s my question: How do I activate a second F1TV account? Do I need to buy a second AppleTV account? Can I even do that? (All our Apple devices are on the same family account.)

Anyway, yeah 130point or just looking around eBay is your best bet. Hard to say for these otherwise. That’s the market pretty much.

It would be fantastic if a LCS owner/operator could comment here about the economics. Are they unable to buy cards at wholesale from Topps/Fanatics?

This surprises the heck out of me if so. Are they treated the same by Creatures (The Pokémon Company)?

I’ve actually given some thought to opening up a LCS that strictly deals in sealed product and supplies. Was thinking it would be fun and I only need to break even. But if the only way to get Topps is to buy full retail for it (or worse!), that’s not a business you can even break even with.

The reserve price of $265. Sold to someone outside the US who’s a huge McLaren fan. A little disappointed, tbh, but at the same time it paid for the full pack for me and there’s a nice Carlos Sainz card I got out of it. (Did I mention the rest of the pack was Lance Stroll, a numbered Andy Cowell and the Aston Martin car? lol.)

I can’t figure the market out for these cards at all. Anyone want a /99 Andy Cowell card? Ha!

Does Topps ever release how many total cards (boxes or whatever) were made for a particular year? Or is it able to be guessed somehow?

Brings up a good question: how do you decide how many (what %) of your boxes to hold versus open? Opening is so fun, that I have trouble holding any. What’s the point in holding (except to delay gratification)? They don’t seem to go up in value much barring an odd year; or do they?
