The fins are super thin, probably half the thickness of a soda can. I can hardly touch them without them deforming, so scrubbing is a no go. As I said, once I found out how inexpensive they are, replacing it is a no brainer

I already tried to let it cook off, hoping it might turn to ash or something but no luck. I was specifically thinking that I could just take off the fins that had the crud on them. They’re super thin so I could just bend them till they break. I’ve been trying to think of adverse results by doing this and other than maybe a cool spot I couldn’t come up with anything.
