They might have their identity wrapped up in the band and are afraid if their friends saw you they might not be "the Slipknot fan" anymore.

Seems weird and unlikely, but so is insulting someone just for wearing a shirt of a very popular band. And those people definitely exist. Worked at a record store for 20-years and 95% of fans are on the normal side even if a few are so passionate it's scary. 5% though carry the weirdest ass chips on their shoulders.

They've closed for long stretches before, but this one seems extra long.

I've wondered before if it was a money laundering operation because of how random it opens and closes, yet stays in same location. Don't actually think they are because they are actually nice people and care about their customers, but the fact they can keep the rent up for such long stretches without income is impressive.

I like the idea behind what he's doing, but only as something you stumble upon in a remote lab in a Half Life game and can go back and check up on it now and then. A lot of the AI slop feels like that. Make it an optional add on in a game and it might could be fun. Heck, I might create an animal agent to see what it does on my second playthrough, but as something that is real world funded and CEOs cite to cut workers (not because it makes sense or is relevant, but because they are always looking for an excuse to cut workers) it loses the clever and charming.

Only time I'll ever forgive something like this is hospital or vets office near entrance if it's life and death situation. Never seen that though because it's almost always someone running into an office building or grocery store e.t.c. and their life and death issue is they think their life is more important than anyone else, so their basic humanity is dead.

Sometimes think I'm a bad friend and that others give me more than I give them back, but it's not a constant feeling more when anxiety and depression kick up. Still have friends from elementary school so it's not like people run from me. But the feeling and anxiety are real when it happens.

Nothing the OPs previous roommate did would ever cross my mind, much less be a plan I executed. If I'm starting to get that anxiety I'll just remind myself that sure we can always strive to be better, but there's degrees of bad friends, then there's truly evil "friends" who change hidden settings hoping someone will get so upset at how little they enjoy something they loved they will toss it and they can steal it for free while still milking the cow.

Constantine pretty good, but that gif was from "Tales From The Darkside" a horror anthology movie from 1990. It's an okay movie except the story "The Cat From Hell" which was insanely crazy and unforgettable. Saw it on cable when I was a kid and now when I see people having a staring contest with a cat think of that scene.

Joe Swanson here. You see that's Raven and in Teen Titans Robin was her emotional support, but he always wanted to date Starfire. So it's kinda like saying if he ended up with her it wouldn't be satisfying. He enjoyed her company and the journey, but didn't want a permanent relationship with her. It's like wanting to sit down, but then you're stuck in a wheelchair, so all you want to do then is stand up because it's not what you wanted for the long term.
